Lots of good games out now but they should've been released over the year

The games industry is losing millions of dollars because they release big games at the same time.

I would have bought Skyrim, MW3, AC, Batman, and maybe Gears 3 but instead I will only be able to play BF3 and I'll probably skip these games. If their release dates were staggered over the year, I would've bought them all. Same thing will happen next year with Max Payne 3 and ME3 coming out at the same time.

Should publishers agree to release their big games at different times of the year?

Well, the reasoning is they're all gunning for that holiday dollar. It's also harder to sell games in the beginning of the year because people are trying to pay off their bills they racked up the month prior. I do say I wish they spaced them out more, but I understand from the business standpoint why they don't.JustPlainLucas

Pretty much this. Yeah, I wish they would spread the releases out a little more as well. I've kept up pretty well so far this year, but I'm starting to struggle with getting all of the games I want now that everything is coming out all at once.

Doesn't affect me. I buy the games when I want them not when they are released. That generally means when they are greatly reduced mths after release.
