Love/Hate Games??

I was wondering if anyone else has a Love/Hate game.

By this, I mean a game you go back and forth from loathing to thoroughly enjoying.

Mines Too Human. I bought it on release, which is rare for me to start with, convinced I would love it, and when I first played it I hated it. I persisted with it then loved it. And I mean completely hooked, played it not stop until GeOW2 came out.

I put it back in the other day because a friend needed some items and I had a quick game with him, but had to leave because I hated it again. I put it down to the controls which can be infuriating if you dont spend time on them.

I found it strange that I could go from hating it to loving it and back again. It's the only game that this has happened with.

Anyone else?

Yeh, I did the same. Rented it on X360 and though "Meh, whats all the hype about". Then bought it on PC from the bargain bin and thought it was bloody fantastic, then decided, out of the blue, while I was playing, that it sucked again and have never played it again since... weird

Well I don't know if that counts but those really old N64/Snes games (yeah I'm pretty young so N64 is old for me) I really loved them the first time I played them but when the ps2/gamecube/xbox came out I got bored of them and moved on but then I recently played a few of them and thought they were great, Why? I don't know maybe because they're retro XD

I don't know if I have any love/hate games. But, I do have a game that I have more fun with than I should have. For some reason I love Conan. I must have played that game 6 times already. It's not the greatest game. It's short, glitchy, and the combat isn't that great, but I can't help playing it and enjoying every minute.Canvas_Of_Flesh

True. I put it down to over the top bloody decaptations in slow motion. One night a friend and I rented it out, and played it all night even though we both agreed it was pretty damn average. Sometimes you need a game thats just stupid fun that can be played half cut, hahaha...

My Love/Hate game would have to be Fallout 3. I played it and beat it the first time and was extremely dissapointed. Then recently, I threw it back in just to try and get a few trophies and now im totally loving it. I'm discovering all the awesome quirks of the world (like oasis) and I'm determined to get the platinum trophy now.

Mortal Kombat 4 for the Nintendo 64.

I would have to say WWII Online. Its a little indie MMOFPS that some months I just love and crave, but then within a week I will hate the game and unsubscribe.

IMO, all games are love or hate games.

Easily the Guitar Hero games. Sometimes I can get into it, other times it feels silly and frustrating.
