Mainstream games you never liked.

What mainstream or really popular games/series that every farmer and his mum got into haven't you enjoyed or ceased caring about?

I liked Final Fantasy III when I played that so I tried my hands at others in the series, and in my opinion are exactly the same. Sure there are minor tweaks like characters and setting, but at the end of the day is about a bunch of angsty teens saving the world from a bad man. Or maybe that's just my opinion.

Thanks :D! Assasin's Creed 1. The fightig was so awful. At the end I started holding the controller in one hand, timing in square when I needed (u could beat all fights using only one button!!!). Side missions were real dull. Story missions didn't work. Repetetive as hell. Sometimes almost in a comic way. For example when u entered every single town in the same way using a group of scholars. That Kevin van Ord gave this game a 9 is unbelievable to me. Usually I like his reviews but this time he was completely lost. /Rant

They are great games no doubt but when every band in existance tried to make some crap dlc version and sell it as a new game I stopped buying them.

Tomb Raider

All the Final Fantasies from PS1 and beyond. Didn't like any of them (except for Final Fantasy Origins, which was just 1 & 2 re-released). Never liked any of the Metal Gear Solid games, not even the NES one.

Halo, any Madden game, Guitar Hero. These three drive me up a wall anytime somebody tries to convience me any ofthese are the pinnacle of gaming.

Halo is a game I never got in to.

I loathed PoP : Warrior Within... Sands of Time was awesome, but the sequel was absolutely terrible. It made me lose any interest I had in the series.

i cant stand Gears of War. I find it boring and repetitive. I don't understand what people see in it.

Any Rainbow Six game after Raven Shield and any Ghost Recon after GR: Island Thunder.

I never liked Halo.

Call of duty Modern warfare 2 love all the others even the dreaded Call of duty 3 , just thought MW2 was over the top Horrible death streaks killed the game . Basiclly Infinity ward Dumbed the Game down so all the noobs who sucked at MW1 could have a chance game sucks , Of course this is just my opinion its a mainstream game i just dont like at all .

gta 4 is easily the most overrated mainstream game ever made but still there an honorary mention for me and fan boys are going to hate me but still uncharted 2 I was expecting heaven of this game but I got boring repetive gameplay in return.

All Call of Duties after CoD2

Even then CoD2 wasn't as good as the first one and its expansion pack in many ways. I used to play CoD competetively on a rather high level back in 2002-3 or so and the whole series has been going downhill ever since IMO. MW2 isn't even fun to play splitscreen with friends anymore.

All Battlefields after Secret Weapons of World War II

BF1942 was about having stupid fun in large maps with lots of players - just learning how to fly the airplanes well enough to actually kill someone took ages but it was fun. Vietnam was ok but I don't feel it's a very good setting for a battlefield game. Battlefield 2 and sequels are just about shooting people in the face and I always thought that was the by far weakest part of the series since they've always been kind of "see dude first and win, get spotted by someone else and die".

Generally all JRPGs

I haven't played through a single one so obviously I can't say much but for some reason I always lose interest in JRPGs within the first hour or so. I grew up on Fallout and Planescape: Torment which probably plays a big role. Big fan of anime so I don't mind the artstyle or the characters.

Same as above, tried some but they never manage to hold my interest.

All Blizzard RTSs

Relic>Blizzard when it comes to RTSs in my book. I can enjoy the campaigns but the oh-so-praised multiplayer modes are not my thing at all. This coming from a huge Diablo and WoW player.

Metal Gear Solid 2 was a gigantic disappointment. I am absolutely baffled by what people apparently see in that.

I bought one of those Medal of Honor games for the PS2. Gamespot rates it higher than any other shooter on the PS2. I thought that was incredibly boring and repetitive.

Let's not forget Final Fantasy VII. I downloaded it and made it perhaps 40 minutes into it. I have absolutely NO interest in ever playing another minute of it.

metal Gear Solid games have never held my interest. I still want to burn down Gamespot for giving MGS4 the graphics award.

WoW. Tried it and hated it. Kill wolves, mine gold, repeat. And I'm PAYING for this? No thanks.
