man nearly kills someone over counter-strike feud.

here's the story.

a CSS player apparently stabbed another CSS player because he lost a virtual knife fight. and technically, he didn't manage to kill the guy so he must be gutted about losing 2 knife fights.

this is one of the reasons i don't play antagonistic online games.

There's probably far more to the story then that ... But either way, some people shouldn't be allowed to leave there house.

This is why I have ceased PC gaming. It's so good that it's addicting and causes abominations such as Julien Barreaux to emerge. :(

More to the story? What possible "more to the story" would have made this acceptible? "Oh wait, he T-bagged you too? Well, obviously he deserved it then. Case dismissed, you're free to go." This was pre-meditated attempted murder... the fact that he only got two years is friggin baffling.

i don't think it's the fault of the PC, it's got something more to do with 1.) the free-for-all online nature of the game, and 2.) the antagonistic and competitive nature of the game and the fact that it involves realistic-looking weapons. counter-strike is a pretty brutal shooting game, so you have to be thick-skinned to want to win and kill others in a virtual environment. it's just sad that there are insane and dangerous people out there.
