12 man online play? Sign me up :D hopefully the game'll be released near-simultaneously worldwide though. It sucks to always only get our hands on online games when the rest of the world has already moved on.

This game is going to be huge all because of the online feature. It's worth getting a Wii for it, IMO.

Well, they haven't confirmed yet that Smash Bros. will be online, it seems...hopefully it will, though. :P

Sounds pretty awesome. I always loved the Mario Kart games and this one being online with up to 12 players is going to be fantastic. Yup, I want this game.

I haven't played any Wii games online yet, but I'm having doubts about the potential lag with the Wi-Fi and all. Half the time I'm trying to d/l VC games the Wi-Fi is down. Is there an ethernet port on the Wii? I never checked lol.

And wasn't SSBB confirmed in some magazine to be online enabled? Where did I read this...?

You can buy a LAN adapter to plug into one of the USB ports that you can use for a wired connection. I have one and it works great. I think that SSBB story was in some Japanese magazine, not sure though.

LOL guess im jumping the gun a bit, the power of positive thinking, it would be too awesome NOT to have in smash brothers so I will think it true! The thing about the Wii is for me is that I always have it online, there is no messing around with routers, losing my internet connection, having to powercycle blah blah blah like I do with my 360, with this I turn it on and its always connected wirelessly...its just begging for some online action. I also want to see a more unified online infrastructure like Live but one step at a time....

wow that looks awesome. its good they got rid of the two players on the one kart and brang some of the original ideas back. and 12 player online! how freaking cool is that! i cant wait :D

That really tells me nothing, and that's because it's not really a preview. It's an anaylsis of the E3 video I've already seen. I care about: Changes to weapons, any new features, number of characters/tracks and whether they've gotten rid of snaking. If snaking's not gone, I'm not interested.

Wi-Fi routers typically transmit at 54Mb/s, that's not going to create a bottleneck.
