Two is better - I hear the DC port isn't that great for 1.

I have MvC 2 here at home for Dreamcast, and it's cool. I really like it, but I'm not sure how MvC 1 is, since I don't own it. But if you get the chance to get MvC 2 you should really get it.

I say Marvel vs Capcom 2 cause it has much more characters than 1. 56 to about only 18 in part 1. As far as price is concerned, I've seen a few auction for this game end only at 30 bucks(which is really cheap for this title). If you really want it, try snipe one at the last second, when it's low. This is how I wound up getting Shenmue for 3 bucks.

I'm talking about the Dreamcast version here, The Playstation 2 version always has bids, and will never be lower than 95 bucks...ever :( Just food for thought

A lot of people will try to tell you that 1 is more balanced, but you have to understand that 2 has 3 times the characters. There are some characters in 2 that do seem overly powerful, but that just adds to the charm of the game. The music is 2 is hilarious. If you want to buy 1, just buy if for the PS1 if you can. I have been playing MvsC2 for about 4 years now and it is hands down my favorite 2d fighter, of all time. I do really like Street Fighter 3rd Strike and Alpha 3, buy nothing comes close to the over the play play of MvsC2. I got mine with Powerstone 2 and a vmu with all the characters unlocked for $60. It was one of the best deals I have ever found on E-bay. Just be patient. Yes, after all this reading, I strongly suggest you get 2.
