Marvel vs Capcom 2 addons

Ok, so with the upcoming release of Marvel vs Capcom 2 for the PS3 and Xbox 360 systems, many must wonder if there will be downloadable content. More specifically addon characters. The game itself sports 50 names (or so) from both universes, but with comic books and games at the height of their time, fans are definatley going to crave more. I figured I'd start up this convo to see what characters people are interested in seeing, and possibly describe their special powers. And please do not say it can't be done cause it definatley can in this era of gaming. Anyways on with the list, at least what I think...

Your list pretty much sums it. Unless they add the fantastic 4 or every single x-men imaginable.

Good call, I completley forgot about the Fantastic 4. The Invisible Woman would be cool to see as a defensive character, using shields and such. They have pretty much the entire 90s era X-men (gambit, cyclops, wolverine, rogue) , it wouldn't hurt to maybe add Beast to the mix.

Actually it can't be done. Capcom doesn't have the Marvel license anymore so the re-release of MvC2 is all that we're going to get for now. Also,when was the last time that you saw a classic game get new content after it was released on XBLA/PSN?

That is true. Capcom does not exclusivley own the rights to Marvel. However, Sony/Fox does own the rights to some characters due to the movies they have made So I don't see how Sony couldn't use that to integrate Deadpool into the game, due to the release of the Wolverine movie.I mean Soul Calibur has had characters from many different company's such as Darth Vader and Link, and I know damn right well that Namco/ Bandai does NOT own either character. You got to look at it from a business standpoint. If, and I'm saying a big "IF" Capcom wanted to make an addon, yea they would need licensing, but the way things are nowadays it wouldn't be too difficult for them to do it. Hell, Sony could easily make a deal with any company that owns rights to a character they want to integrate into the PS3 version with no problem, all they would have to do is agree to advertise a product in Home or make a movie based on the character, and 360 would go without.

But I didn't start this convo as a licensing argument. I'm merely saying "if it did happen, what would you want to see" kinda thing. But thanks for the input.

I forgot about Viewtiful Joe. I think he would fit very well into the game.

I'd like to see Ryu and Nina from Breath of Fire series.

Both would be cool, but I think if you had 2 Ryu's in the game people would get confused : /, but good suggetions nevertheless.
