Marvel vs DC

You don't see Marvel vs. Capcom anymore, but I am lucky enough to have the arcade game of it at a local pizza place here in town. My friends and I have spent countless hours and quarters on it.

Everytime we go in there, they ask, are you playing or eating? To their dismay, it's usually only playing. But, at least we are making them revenue in some way.

It would be lame because DC is in it. Marvel would curb stomp them. I would like to play the game but the only one from DC that would be cool would be Superman.(in fights) I don't see Batman be able to trade punches with anyone except Captain AMerica(and he is weak) IF it is a fighting game Wolverine would destroy Batman in a hand to hand fight and Wolverine not even in the top tier of Marvel.

(and DC fans don't mention Lobo cause KISS rejects don't count in the same sense has Superman, Hulk,Spiderman......)

A fight between Robin and Bucky might be exciting................ like watching my two grandmothers fight.

Marvel is way more succesful than DC I mean we got like the best superheros ever, like Spiderman for an example. StealthRaiden

Batman is more serious and that is what drives the adults to like him more. Spider-man will be my all time favorite superhero.

Wolverine is top tier because he has proven to be literally indestructible and capable of healing from any injury, including incineration. That said, Batman is purely human but his fighting skills are easily on par with Wolverine, if not better.

And Superman could single-handedly destroy the entire Marvel cast. Period.

What about the X-Men crew you have so many guys that can do amazing things like that chick named Mystique who can turn into anyone she wants. So she can turn into Superman and destroy him single-handedly.

Anyone read the Marvel and DC cross over comic from 1996? It was a pretty cool series, their worlds were merging together and they had to have battles with each other save their own world, because the losing universe would die. The cool thing was that they were letting the fans vote on who would win each fight, but marvel was winning too many votes and they wanted both universes to be almost equal so they ignored votes on some of the fights.

Spider-Man defeats Superboy (fan voted)

excluding the robin/jubilee fake fight, it was pretty much a draw so both worlds started to combine to the point that the characters started to combine. For example, Wolverine + Batman = Dark Claw. And another battle worth mentioning is Darkseid defeating Thanos and taking the Infinite Gauntlet from him. It's a surprise that they never made a game out of this because Marvel and DC did cross over comics quite a few times, and usually end up having the heroes come to a draw or they eventually team up to fight a greater evil.

And two more things I want to comment on. Two people mentioned something about superman. One saying Superman can single-handedly destroy entire Marvel universe and another saying no one in marvel but Captain America can exchange blows with him. Let me clear that Captain America is suppose to be as strong as a human can get, bench 800 lbs. That saying, his non-super strength probably wont faze Superman. Although, there are people in Marvel that have super-human strength that can take him on. Thor is probably the closest to Marvel's equivalent to him. Magneto (from the comics, not the movie) has super strength. Hulk and Juggernaut both have infinite strength and are stronger then Superman, etc.

And another poster commented about Mystique, saying she can turn into superman and destroy him. No. She has the ability to change her appearence, and her strength does change as well, depending on the size she changes to. But she doesn't have the ability to mimic anyone's power. So basicaly, if she turned into a big person like a sumo, she would have the strength of someone that large. But if she turned into superman, she can not fly and wont have super strength, she will just have the strength of a human body builder the size of superman.
