If you watched this video you will see that they call Taliban the "bad guys"

In war there is no bad guys.

So my statment is, you're not allowed to play as Taliban to kill Americans, but allowed to play as Americans to kill Taliban?

I don't get it.

Yes, there are.

That being said, America hasn't been Grade-A good guy material when it comes to what we do in the Middle East. Not that the Taliban isn't nuts, but we can't do the whole good vs. evil thing anymore.

Think about it this way- back in the late 80s and early 90s, we weren't fans of Russia. The Taliban fought Russians. We liked the Taliban. Really, go watch Rambo 3 and it will blow your mind as Rambo fights with the same people who will go on to harbor Al Qaeda and all that.

But hey, I don't pretend to understand Middle Eastern politics all that well. There is too much to keep track of.

If I remember correctly, Rambo 3 is a fictionial movie that dealt with Russian terrorists, not the Taliban.

That said, the person who said "In war there is no bad guys" is wrong. There's always a bad guy in war. Always has been, always will be.

Agreed. Nothing is objective in this world... everything is subjective.

I'd rather say it as "In war, there are no good guys."

You all talk about war as if you know it. And some of you who think that there are clear "sides" in a conflict - it does not really matter because its the civilians who suffer the most. Who is right or who is wrong is all irrelevant and differs from the perspective that you are observing it. Also from the perspective of which you are forced to see. Media is a weapon. Nothing is black and white. Its all shades of gray. You will have the right to say who was more right/wrong once you experience an armed conflict - not before.

Don't you see? I love the fact that there is Taliban in MOH i've been waiting for a game like this for ages, but the fact they called Taliban the "bad guys" isn't right, whats wrong with Taliban being in a game? They said that families suffered the most in the USA and didn't mention entire cities suffering in Afghanistan. There is nothing wrong with a player being able to play as Taliban.

Don't try to say that the Taliban aren't bad guys, because they are. If you're so concerned with innocent people in Afghanistan, you should do a little research into the suffering inflicted upon them by the Taliban before you go shooting your mouth off.

well i played the beta and thought it was awesome, it didnt change my view on anything and i felt no difference from when i was fighting the taliban to when i was playing as them, im sure most people who campaign against games dont actually play the game they're so riled about. if it was actually a single player story of you playing as the taliban i would understand a bit of anger...but they really need to lighten up.
