I wish it would be a fully Ps3 Exclusive, HD Graphics 2d side scrolling beast, with amazing new features and trophy support
Megaman X - X3 represent the peak of the entire series. Another game in the same style would be nice.
Why wish it to be exclusive? :? It doesn't need to be exclusive to anything to be successful or great, as Mega Man 9 showed.I wish it would be a fully Ps3 Exclusive, HD Graphics 2d side scrolling beast, with amazing new features and trophy support

Regardless, MMX9 with SNES graphics and gameplay would simply rock. I've said many times that they should do that, so it's good to see I'm not alone. :D

I didn't say it had to be exclusive to be sucsessful, I would just rather see it exclusive on the PS3, mainly because it would look much nicer than the 360 and / or the Wii , but I wouldn't even care if it came out as a multiplat ( which is most likely ), so GET OFF MY CASE! :P[QUOTE="MAILER_DAEMON"]Why wish it to be exclusive? :? I highly doubt that the PS3 would pump out more than the 360 and Wii if it's just SNES graphics.
As for MAILER_DAEMON, I said this same Question on the Capcom forums and they went balistik and hated it and said that "YOU LIVING IN THE PAST! WE WANT MEGAMAN TO MOVE FORWARD!"
They didn't even specify what they even wanted. Glad there's some people that love the SNES MMX games.
Thanks for pointing that out... And yeah, a lot of people feel that X4 was the pinnacle of the series, while for me it's a tie between X2 and X3. I'd love to see them make some great 3D graphics/2D plane Mega Man or X games, but I found Mega Man 9 to be a lot more fun than Powered Up. Maverick Hunter X was a good game, but the "feel" wasn't quite the same as the SNES games.MAILER_DAEMON
Can't agree with you any more on that one, mate. After X3 I completely lost interest in the X series...It just didn't feel the same as it progressed and it really turned me off.

To be honest, X4 is where the series really peaked. It remains the best X game in my opinion. But after X4, it was pretty much downhill indeed...Honestly, X2 and X4 are tying for my "favorite X game". I found X2 to be the best of the original 3, where they really hammered down the gameplay and level design. X3 felt a bit too "industrial" for me. X4 took the X2 formula and upped the sprite quality (and some excellently animated sprites, I might add).
Still, I'd love to see X9 with SNES style graphics (I feel like a broken record at this point, lol). In fact, if online petitions were worth anything, I'd put up ten of them right now :)
X1 had the best music of the whole X series, IMO, and X2 was the most fun IMO.
X3 and X4 were both great too, X5 was decent, and X6 was meh...

MMX4 is and remains the deepest/darkest plot entry in the series' history. Repliforce, Zero's origins, those tragic events (not spoiling). Go to any Megaman fansite asking which X story do you consider had the most substance and you will get an overwhelming reaction for X4. What really bugs me is that they ignored 90% of the plot with the sequels after it. Then again, the only games in the X series which had a strong co-dependence on each other in terms of plot was X1-X2. And don't get me started on the OST, everything done for the game is top-notch (minus the English VOs).
