Its pretty fun but not a whole lot of replay value. You basically run all over this warzone and try to capture/kill high ranking dudes. You get half the bounty if you kill them. You work for all sides of the war. Its basically a free roaming game.
I thought it could have used more rpg elements and had random capture/kill events to make it better. I wish you could have customized your character and equipment loadout. After you go through it once though the fun ends. The bad guys always show up in the same place and you only get a few weapon groups to choose from.
I'm looking forward to Merc2 on the ps2. I havent read anything about it though.
The game is great. Theres so much action sequences and things to destroy/kill. When you beat the game there isn't much left to do, but it lasts a very long time until then. The vehicles to use are just great like the Abrams Tank.
