Metal Gear Solid in HD collection

I'm sure this has been asked, but Im having trouble finding the answer anywhere, Is the first Metal Gear Solid included in any way in the HD collection? I heard somewhere that it was included on the menu for MGS3 but I can't find confirmation of that now. I did see that in Japan there is a code that comes with it to dl the game, but I can't find anything for anywhere else.

No it's not.

The only games included in the MGS3 version are Metal Gear 1 and Metal Gear 2, the 2 games that came out ten years before Metal Gear Solid.

Metal Gear Solid is not included with the HD collection. Since the collection is packaged with MGS3 Subsistence it come with Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2, the ones on the MSX.

Like the others said, it's not and that's a shame. The original MGS will always remain my favorite due to the memories I gleaned from playing the game way too much.

Ok, thanks for letting me know. Luckily my ps2 is still working and I think I have a copy of it for ps1. When I replay the games I wanted to start from the 1st one.

I thought the latest PS3 models were no longer BC?

I believe that applies only to PS2 games. For some reason, all PS3s can play PS1 discs and digitally downloaded titles.

I really wanted a PC version of this collection to come out. I loved Sons of Liberty on the PS2 and would love to play it again.

Sons of Liberty was released on PC.

You can probably also easily run it using an emulator.

Thank you for clearing that up! I just always thought that the latest models could no longer play any of the older titles and could only be played through downloading from the PSN.
