Ahhh, Metroid. How you rock. From molten magma caverns to frozen ice worlds to floating fortresses in the sky. Which one is best? I own and have beaten all 3, I like the 3rd best. How about you?
Discuss Metroid in general.
P.S I'm new. Go easy on me

All three? There are five 2D Metroid games (Metroid Zero Mission being a remake of the original Metroid) and four 3D Metroid Prime games. Which three were you talking about in this case?

Um...."all three"? There's 10 Metroid Games. Metroid, Metroid II, Super Metroid, Metroid Fusion, MPH, the prime series, Pinball, and Zero Mission. Nub.:P

I am sure there's some disagreement on this, but I'll add my two cents anyway. Metroid Prime Pinball is a great pinball game, one of the greatest even. But it's not a Metroid game in any meaningful sense. It's no more a Metroid game than Link's Crossbow Training was a Zelda game.
- Super Metroid
- Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
- Metroid: Fusion
- Metroid Prime
- Metroid: Zero Mission
- Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
- Metroid
- Metroid II: Return of Samus
- Metroid Prime Pinball (not exactly a Metroid game)
- Metroid Prime Hunters (doesn't really deserve to be called a Metroid IMO)

I'd probably swap Prime and Fusion, since Fusion felt too linear, but other than that, this list would be identical to mine.

Metroid has been my favorite franchise since first playing the gaming perfection that is the original Metroid Prime.Honestly,it's nearly impossible for me to choose which one is the best.Prime 1 is my favorite, but after playing nearly every Metroid,I simply can't choose which I think is the best.
Going on the speed run side of things, the only Metroid I've attempted a speed run in would be Zero Mission with a record of 00:46:23.I'll probably speed run Super Metroid later on,and if I find the right copy of Metroid Prime,I may try a speed run of it,though I probably won't come close to the world record of 1:03:XX.Speaking of which,I haven't speed runned (ran?) a game in a while since Twilight Princess...
How did you get on in Twilight Princess, out of interest? :PMetroid has been my favorite franchise since first playing the gaming perfection that is the original Metroid Prime.Honestly,it's nearly impossible for me to choose which one is the best.Prime 1 is my favorite, but after playing nearly every Metroid,I simply can't choose which I think is the best.

I am currently absolutely loving MP3. I can't really make a list, I love them all in their own different ways.

About six hours and fifty nine minutes, with a terrible video to prove it.*SPOILERS*
Nothing beats good ol` 2D gaming so my favorite is the remake of the original, Zero Mission. Familiar yet new again, I love that feeling. Also, that surprise at the end was great.
This is one game I still have fun playing over and over again. It's that good.

yes. For myself while I am not a large metroid fan, Metroid Fusion is my favorite in the series because I always found Samus to be such a boring character until this game. It gave Samus some sort of life because personally I felt that I could of been playing as anyone through the other games and it not be able to tell a difference, she is just mega boring.
