i would just like to know what you think of the game.

I was just reading the GS review and they gave it an 8.6.
The game was definetly a 9+ imo and I usually agree with gs 99% of the time so this is odd...
They say it was to short and I agree but that isnt worth knocking it below 9 no matter how important game length is!

All metroid games are short though..except the prime series o.O
Anyways Fusion is an A plus game...you get at least 11 bosses (i think if i counted right) and 5 of the 11 are epic boss fights for a metroid game.
Zero Mission is pretty sweet. You only get 4 bosses, but they are all epic. And the Space Pirate ship add on gives it more life to do.
Out of those two I would say zero mission holds the edge for one reason only...there is difficulty settings for it lol (easy, medium, hard(with hard being insane because finding an energy tank only gives you 50 energy lol)). Fusion only has one.

Exactly what I was thinking!
The 2-d metroids are suppossed to be a little short because your suppossed to replay them over and over again to see all the multiple endings!
However I can see how your average gamer who isnt a huge metroid fan wouldn't want to do this and thats how these reviews are done which is fair imo.
In my opinion, it is a brilliant game, actually, one of my favourites. It is so dark, so creepy, so... metroid! I just loved it.

Its classic 2-D metroid in every way!
They really should revisit this old 2-D formula again real soon! Its been like 5 years or over so.....
Ninty should do what capcom did with megaman on wii ware and just release some new mario/metroid/zelda games but in a classic 2-D style!
Its not like anything exciting is happening on wii ware anyways these days or ever!

Im still surprised to this day how little Nintendo milks the franchise. Heck they didnt even port Super Metroid to GBA.It's a great game, but I can't stand its linearity and game progression. Its GBA brother,Zero Mission,is better in my eyes.

Ninty had been really good with that over the decades!
My only real argument is "where the heck is Super Mario GBA?"
All the platforming Mario games on the GBA are ports! The GBA wasthe perfect system for 2-D mario goodness!

Despite the heavier emphasis on story, I still enjoyed Fusion. I agree that Zero Mission is the better game, though. I find it cool that the upcoming Other M is directly related to Fusion.

Love it, reminded me of Super Metroid instantly. No other side scroller could get me so lost and confused as the Metroid series. The Prime gamesbeing a notable exception to the rule. I felt those were rather linear.
