Microsft Gaming Handheld?

I'm amazed Microsoft haven't entered the handheld gaming market yet. Anyone think they have/should start developing a portable gaming device?

I don't quite think you can hold and play with a laptop in your hands. I also don't think they should make anything other than the little gadgets they're making now. Sure, Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo all have consoles and stuff, but why should Microsoft have to join in the race with the handhelds? I'm sure they're busy working on computers that don't malfunction so often.
