I would definitely suggest DDO, though I don't know quite what else to suggest since I don't know what you like or don't like and there are some things that I definitely don't like about some, though I never really refuse a free one. Do you care what type of game? There are so many mmos out there, and some are really good, some are okay, and some you should never play, but those are few. I play Mythos, Lineage II, Guild Wars, EQ I and II, DDO and a smattering of others. What are you looking for in genres? Questions like these are always so loaded...
My favorites are D&D Online and LOTR Online. Also Madinogi, if thats how you say it, is a pretty neat game. Liked the combat in it a lot. Aslo if you want something that isn't an MMORPG I would try League of Legends like everyone else suggested, it is very good. If your into shooter MMOs there is always Team Fortress and Combat Arms.
I have really been enjoying Lord Of The Rings Online (LOTRO). Middle Earth is a great setting for a role-playing game, and the game stays true to the lore from Tolkien's epic story. I like the more realistic graphics, compared to something like WoW, and the community is refreshingly mature and helpful. Good crafting system, too. LOTRO is "free to play", but a lot of the content is locked unless you subscribe, or purchase it from the in-game store. Definitely worth the download to check it out.
DC Universe Online : great game to play for free. The solo dungeons and challenges were rather well done.
Age of Conan : Levels 1-20 are a must play. Then the game joins the average MMO. I still had a great time, and they have opened up more for the free players since I played.
Lord of the Rings Online : Physics feel weird when you run and jump around, but I had some fun time with it.
Dungeons & Dragons Online : Liked the puzzles, gave it a more traditional RPG feel over most MMOs.
Family Guy Online : a browser based MMO to waste some time on for the laughs alone.
Beware of the free Pay to Win MMOs. There are many out there where a $15 sub fee would be mere pennies to what these people pay to be competitive.
