After playing Medal of Honor I have to say this game might go down as 2010's biggest dissapointments. Don't get me wrong, I think th game is pretty sweet. I am really enjoyed the campaign, but it did have its fair share of flaws and was much shorter than expected. First off, for a game that used the Unreal 3 engine, I was let down by the texturing and jaggies throughout. The enviroments did look pretty hot, but the sky often looked like some oil painting and the characters just didn't look as well rendered as competiting games. Worst of all the framerate dropped hard in some spots and there were some odd discoloring effects. Overal, I did enjoy the campaign but I think Danger Close should have added co-op or at least made it longer and less scripted. For a game trying hard to dethrone COD, this sure wasn't the best effort you could have put forward.

As for MP, well its a load of fun and it plays fast, but it just doesn't have enough dept of weapons or options to keep players playing this game long term. Good thing EA has the online pass for this game because I can see a ton of copies ending up on Gamestop shelves by the time COD Black Ops comes out. Hate to admit, but the should have copied the kill cam option from COD because you get shot so often in MOH by sniper fire and you can't tell where it came from. So far alot of campers on this game and its just a couple days old.

If I have to rate this game, I will give it a solid 8. It does enough well, and sorta sets its own identity from other shooters but at the same time comes up short for a game that shoulda been longer, deeper, and more polished. MOH feels like a game that could have used about 6 months more developement time. Oh well, maybe next time EA.

If you are a PS3 owner and you want to hook up for a few matches please add my tag.....NewfieBullit. Oh, don't bother adding me if you don't have a mic. Thanks.

It's an average game. Nothing too special.

Honestly moh could ONLY be better. Right now its such a weak product that i would rate it with 4.5 We got a storyless campaign that does not hold a candle to the mw2 campaign which mind you is not considered to be good and the game is even more linear and 3 hours long. Is that what ea did all that time? I thought not bothering with mp would result into a good singleplayer not he opposite. As for the mp? Its generic with few small maps and pretty simplistc gameplay and level up and upgrade system. It does not hold a candle to mw2 customization and playtypes. The sniper is overpowered and thus means everyone camps and it has the same bugs as the beta. So its average at best. Why would anyone pay 60 bucks for a crap 3 hour campaign and average multiplayer is beyond me.

I agree. You have these massive landscapes, yet there filled w/ invisible walls. While the fire fights can be pretty intense and the weapons are accurate, waiting for someone else to open a door or boost you up over a small wall sucks royal.

Yeah, imagine if this game has big maps with nonlinear objectives and vehicles instead of this follow me and shoot the target crap.

It uses Frostbite Engine, it even says so in the game intro.

It reminds me of old advertisements for Tribes: Ariel Assault. "Good-bye Halo" at the time. Now it's "Good-bye Call of Duty." :P

MoH is your standard FPS-- nothing revolutionary, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. To me, it's better to be standard instead of trying to be revolutionary and failing at it.

I'm enjoying MoH. I'd say it's just about on par with most other shooters.

Based on the crapload of hype that went into this game I would say the same thing.

I would agree. I wasn't impressed with anything MOH had to offer, but it is nice to play other FPS games out there rather than just COD games. I think the hype that went into this game killed it. If there wasn't so much hype ppl would have enjoyed it as just another FPS instead of something that was supposed to compete with COD.

Yes, MOH does use the frostbite 2.O engine for the multiplayer but Danger Close used the Unreal Engine for the single player campaign. So, check all your facts before you rag on me..ok.

The game is a mess.

The campaign is boring and overall feels very lazy, which is sad when you consider this is supposed to be a tribute. It's like the game had no budget. I could understand this if EA was some indy publisher, but they're not.

The mp is riddled with shoddy mechanics and oversights. Clipping is horrendous - more than one suicide because I walked into a flight of steps instead of up them. Navigating even basic terrain can be a pain and I frequently hear other players complaining about getting stuck on small objects. Also, why can I drop a cruise missile on my teammates just to kill the enemies around them? Shouldn't the missile hurt them, too? Shouldn't the missile hurt the objective I'm defending? Today, I also killed an opposing player through my teammate. He didn't see the guy coming at him and I didn't have time to move, so I emptied a clip right through my ally and took the opfor down. The SMG also is way more deadly and accurate than the ARs or LMGs, which is absurd. I don't get too fixated on things being realistic, but c'mon...I shouldn't be able to snipe with a PDW. And bullets are still curving around corners like in BC2 (and yes, I know some objects can be shot through) thanks to an overly generous auto-aim. Stat tracking is pretty pathetic, but then, so is the leveling system. Also, why does voice chat cut off between rounds? And in general, the more I play, the more I realize features that have become pretty basic in mp shooters that are missing.

I agree. The game feels like youre in the same level the whole time cause the environment hardly changes. Also I played on "Hard" difficult first time through and honestly that should have been the easy setting.

I'm fairly into it andI'm enjoying the multiplayer online but I'm a bit disappointed in Dice on this one.. Instead of competing with COD they just copied it without making it one bit better.. maybe just the sound effects but everything else is just MW2!

I'm now hanging out for Blacks ops and BFBC2: Vietnam!

I agree with your sentiments. It's a solid game, but had so much potential to be a great game. Still, we can all agree that it's at least better than Modern Brokefare 2
