I have always wanted to play Morrowind (I've always heard great things about it). I think it's relatively cheap and my Laptop is more than capable to run it.
I played Oblivion before Morrowind and came to expect a certain standard for combat... which Morrowind sorely refused to meet. It would be nice if someone out there could mod Morrowind to have more straightforward combat or just port the game to the Oblivion engine (I think a project as such exists).
Not to mention I've already found my home in the Shivering Isles.
EDIT: I also want to give Daggerfall a try once I get the time. The large change of pace to a rouge-like will surely be able to interest me more.
wow didn't expect anyone to respond haha. i looked at it like a half hour i posted it and it was dead. but yea great game. get it on the comp and go find so mods. there are some gems out there.
I've never modded a game, though I intend to do so someday. Morrowind is a wonderful, superb experience even without mods, especially if you have both expansions. I honestly don't mind the graphics when I play, since the enormity of the world, the people, the lore, and the quests absorb me completely.
yea i know haha. i've played both to death and now after trying to sit down and play again. its morrowind
lol I finished morrowind, but never oblivion. That's why I'm going through again. It gets very addicting, because I have so many other games to play right now...grrr.yea i know haha. i've played both to death and now after trying to sit down and play again. its morrowind

Someone did port the landscape and art assets, but thats it. Thee is also the Tamriel Rebuilt/SoVvM project which builds morrowind and the other provinces and will have new quests as well
Shivering Isles revived Oblivion
Only play Daggerfall if you have dosbox. Apparently it takes 2 weeks to walk from 1 side of the map to the other
I really like morrowind and oblivion, i can't wait to TES:V!
never played it. :o
i dont think its out for ps3....is it? my pc isnt good for gaming so..
modestkraut1291
It's not on PS3, because it came out in 2002
Most computers after 2002 should be more than capable of running vanilla Morrowind
It would be nice if someone out there could mod Morrowind to have more straightforward combatfoxhound_foxThere is a mod to map spell casting to one key, like in Oblivion.
as a note as an owner and still avid player of daggerfall id like to note it takes 2.5 weeks if u havent taken any opportunity to work up a good endurance skill score, and find the ebony dagger (which ones gets at the very start) to be the most amazing weapon ever made XD. and i also find it awsome to become a lycanthrope.
I still love it, I tried various mods but I always end up screwing something up making it unplayable. My current installation has some amazing graphics improvements, like grass and better textures, but it lags my pc to death....horribly unoptimized mods for the lose.anyone else still play TES III Morrowind? man great game.... just picked it up again and once you slap some retextures on there whoa. awesome man, highly recommend

SirMinde: You are absolutely correct.
Morrowind is perhaps the best RPG that I have played. I love pretty much every aspect of the game. I've sunk hundreds of hours into it, and I've been thinking about starting it up again.muthsera666I remember your post in a similar thread months ago. If I'm not mistaken you mentioned 1500 hours on morrowind with you redguard character! That's professional.

Definitely not that good. 100 hours or so with a Redguard and another 100 or so with a Breton.

I didn't like the combat at all. It was just random and hack until you level up. Everything else was really neat though.
It's a fantastic, addictive game. I have the xbox version (and no longer an xbox) so I'll start playing it again if I get ahold of the PC version.
