Most Addictive Game?

What do you consider the MOST addictive video game and why?

For me it was always Animal Crossing. I could never get enough. I think I have a thing for collecting on games, because the best part of Animal Crossing (which had me playing hours on end) was the thrill of collecting each bug, fish, fossil, and piece of furniture for my set of choice. Never got enough of it!

Having been alive now for a quater of a century(plus a few days), my memory is growing bad lol...but I do remember that I became unnaturally addicted to Rachet and Clank 2 for some odd reason.

Alot of games have hooked me.

Halo 2 - The online play had me addicted for 6-10 hours a day for months.

Forza Motorsport - I'm a car nut so of course I loved that game, so much to do.

Gears of War - Not as deep as Halo but had me playing on XBL constantly from when it came out until late March.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2005 - Amazing game, a dream come true for golfers.

NCAA Football 06 - Great gameplay, incredible dynasty mode, it had me addicted.

MVP Baseball 2005 - The gameplay was near perfect, and it was such a deep game.

World of Warcraft.....period.....that game has literally ruined lives cause of it's addictiveness. I think I can safely say there isn't any other game out there that has more people addicted to it where they've literally devoted a large majority of their time to it.

Runner-up would probably be Civilization IV.

It is so addictive because you can continue to do new things again and again and its so annoying that i can't stop playing!

Agreed on WOW that game is definatly like drugs sometimes.

I am addicted to Age of the Empires II for PC and DS. Yes i know there is a 3rd game, but my pc can't handle such greatness.

World Of Warcraft... It was so addictive for me, that when I quit I gave away everything I had to make returning completely impossible and pointless. I would never even rank WOW as a game I liked, its addictive and frustrating at the same time. UO... that is another story...

Probably the most addictive single player game I've played was Ultima 7...

Now that I think about it, the most addictive games I've played have all been PC games. The Sims, Civilization, Heroes of Might and Magic, RollerCoaster Tycoon...if I get started on any of those, I can sit and play them non-stop for HOURS.

As far as console games go, Guitar Hero and DDR. And the card game in FF8, if that counts.

For me it was the Banjo games on Nintendo 64

Banjo Tooie held me for a very long time. My friend finished it, and I sold the game. I regret it, though.

My list have to be:

Donkey Kong 64

Super Mario 64

I could go on forever, but those games were special. Very much to do, too much...

Oh.. Counter Strike, I play it for whole day.

My most addictive game would have to be either World of Warcraft or the Pokemon RPGs, with Yellow and Diamond being my favorite versions. :)

Darwinia, Geometry Wars, DefCon, Tetris, and Uplink also come very close to being one of my most addictive games.
