Most Mysterious/Cool Game Character?

Who do you guys think the most mysterious and cool characters of games was, this means not someone who blows everything up and drops the "F Bomb" constantly. I'd have to say it is....

Niko Bellic is mysterious and cool because he just gives that vibe off, his scenes and actions just made one of the coolest game characters i've seen. In general he is just pretty badass. Now I know a lot will disagree but please leave flaming aside and post your favorites.

Don't you think it would be better to make a thread where it isn't easy to just name your personal favorite game, then name the main character of that game?

The most mysterious game character that I've come across, recently-since it's hard to recall every unique character- is the Stranger from the game Nocturne. Although the game itself was problematic, I've been fascinated with his past; or the lack thereof.

Max Payne, easily.

Lamarr the headcrab. We never do learn about his past.

Agent 47 from the Hitman series. Backstory aside I'm still itching to know what really makes him tick besides greed but that's just baffling in itself. He's not considered human but he's slowly understanding or even becoming one from the little details you see in the game.

How could I forget my top one... The Lone Wanderer from Vault 101. Especially in this pick, pure epicness.

Raiden in MGS4. I've only played MGS4 and part of 2 so I don't know his story, but he was pretty BA in MGS4 killing those gekkos.gbpackers94

Oh well THANKS FOR THE SPOILER. :P I didn't know that he was in MGS4. Now if I ever get the chance to play it, seeing him won't be as nearly shocking and/or delightful.

I saw one other guy say "G-Man" from half life.

I think it's G-man by default, since he's such a shoe-in for most mysterious- but second most cool/mysterious in my books is Agent G

Hate to agree with the masses but the G-man is so damn mysterious it huuuurts :) - "prepare for unseen consenquences" :O

G-man is mysterious, but not maybe the coolest character :/

We don't even know G-Mans NAME, we just call him "G-Man" as a nickname because he wears a suit, (it's short for government man)

We don't know WHAT he is WHO he is or even how he is involved in the events of half life we only get several glimpses of him throughout each game.

On top of that, he's cool. So I proclaim it be G-man

Doomguy. He never utters a single word (aside from the pain sounds) yet he slaughters demons with a cool head. He doesn't have a past either unless you check out the manual.
