I dont agree with you. If you play FPS games at the higest dificulty you might be the same as in real life. Why you dont try the new Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 or even 3 Even if there says that they are in ear 2016 it seems like real life!

SWAT 4 It's one of the few FPS games, probably the only one, where you have to use real tactics to get a high enough score to complete a mission, rather then just running and gunning and blatantly gunning down hostiles. You get a higher mission rating for actually subduing and arresting suspects for trial instead of just going in with guns blazing. You have to report seized evidence and weapons to HQ. You have to report injured or dead civilians and enemies to HQ. You have to carefully pick your inventory, down the ammo type for the mission. Injuries occur to both you and hostiles depending where in the body you were shot and with what type of ammo. ...in terms of a war FPS, then probably the Armed Assault series.

Never in my life I would have thought to see someone violently disagree with himself. Now I can say I have
Mil sim/tactical shooter. It's not limited to first-person perspective and playing like a solider hence it's not a FPS.
That's a ridiculous way of putting it... I guess Battlefield and scores of other FPSs aren't actually FPSs either since they're not limited to a first person view and you can play other roles besides a from line solider. ArmA is an FPS, not a typical one, but still classified as an FPS.

So why are even the makers referring to it as a mil sim and why is it classified as such on pages like Wikipedia?
It is not a traditional FPS, period. If you want to nitpick - it's a battlefield sim actually.
Ha, so true. How do you think that COD is realistic? Have you actually played the game? I don't play tons of first person shooters, but probably the most realistic shooter I can remember playing is Battlefield 3. Even the multiplayer is pretty realistic, at least compared to COD.
