There are a lot of highly rated games that Game Spot have reviewed that we love. However, there is always that game that got a 2 that you may think is the coolest game in the world. So what is the lowest rated game that you loved?

God, too many to name.
Ico, Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophecy for you North americans), Psychonauts, Planetside.

Did you not see the word underrated?
All them games listed except maybe Planetside have had great reviews from most websites, especially Ico and Psyconauts. Them two are also constantly praised on basically ever gaming website there is, e.g. Joystiq.
Killer7. I consider it to be among the greatest games ever made, but it didn't quite hit that mark with many (most, really).
And this guy:
Is kickass.

How many people do you know played those games? And in my opinion theyre still underrated - amazing isnt it, this being an opinion based thread, especially considering how many games are immensley overrated these days.
Actually the thread starter said he meant games with low review scores, which Psychonauts certainly didn't get...Kev_Boy
Nor ICO, or Indigo Prophecy.
Brigandine was a game that I found to be extremely enjoyable. I was one of the rare ones I suppose that had the patience to play through it multiple times. It wasn't really well received by the masses and didn't get high review scores either but I think alot of games that I find I love and are in my collection are like that.
Fom time to time I still throw it in the ole' Playstation and give it a whirl. ;)

If you are referring to games I loved that got a low review score on Gamespot, then the game below tops the list, since I consider it in the top 3 best RPGs released in the past 5 years...yet it got around a 7.5 here at Gamespot:
The other game I loved and had tons of fun with despite getting around a 6.4 at Gamespot would be:
I really liked Legend of the Dragoon. I never could understand why Gamespot didn't give that game a better score. Sure the story was a bit rehashed, but the game was still awesome, especially considering it was Sony's first, last, and onlyattempt at competing with Final Fantasy.

Blue Dragon (360)
In referance to the post above me.... I love blood lines.
The hotel mission not to far into the game, the haunted hotel, was insanely freaky to me for some reason. After years of loving horror video games I have become pretty jaded and hard to scare but there were a few moments I literarly jumped in my seat. And you never even have to fight anything... insane.

The game has a solid cult following from what I can gather. Not just goth fans or vampire nuts either.
I also recall reading a thread a year or so ago on a differant board in witch the Haunted Hotel came up and a lot of people feel the same way.
Aynone reading this thread who likes RPG's, or that modern gothic setting, should really check this out. I picked it up a few years ago for 20 dollars. LIke it or hate it if you grab itfor 14-20 dollars a lot of people would become fans I think.
Although at times the combat felt just plain craptacular. But the story, character building, and dialog, made it one great rpg for me.
I have played through it 3 times over the last few years and I can see myself playing it again.
small soldiers, its actually a terrible game but my brother, father and I used to play it for hours at a time
Megaman Legends. GS gave it a 72, and im darnded happy about that. But PC gamer (a magazine company I absolutelylove)gave it a 25%. At 25%, this is where all the worst of the worst go to. I just cannot comprehend why they hated it so much!!!! TheGamerUser
PC Gamer reviewed the PC version which was quite old by that time and wasn't a good port anyways (huge control issues). GameSpot gave the PC version something really low as well.
Not really underrated, but definitely unpopular.
Metal Arms: Glitch In The System. Basically a 3rd-person shooter with wise-cracking robots. Plays alot like Halo, and some of the levels actually look like Halo 2 levels, even though this game came out before Halo 2.
It was made by Swingin' Ape Studios, who were then bought by Blizzard. Blizzard then said they'd use Swingin's talents to break into the console market, and have yet to do a damn thing since.

Siren for the PS2 (Europeans and Japanese will know it as Forbidden Siren). It received mediocre reviews, and sold poorly, but I was absolutely mesmerized by it for several months. It was like Resident Evil with chess playing Zombies, told in episodes out of order in Tarantino-fashion. It was one of the hardest games I've ever played in my life, in a cerebral sense that is.m0zart
That was indeed a good one, focusing on Ringu-like horror. So much trial and error involved, though.
Battlefield 2: Modern Combat. But i only liked it then because I'd never played a real FPS before. yeh, so now i think it's an average game.....
ATM there aren't many underrated games I like.... heaps of unpopular ones though..... (Grim Fandango, Psychonauts etc.)

Even though it is the undisputed best multiplayer game of all time in my eyes, it is not under-rated or that unpopular. It has sold a lot and has gathered a kind of cult following, I for one still play it all the time even after completing it 100% 3 times. It also got AA here at GS so not exactly a low rating.
It should of been AAA though.
Battlefield 2: Modern Combat.OMGWTFBBQzzzCharacter-switching is the coolest thing ever.
I'm gonna go with Minority Report: Everybody Runs on the GameCube. It got a 4.1, i think, and it's one of my all-time favourite games. I've played that game over and over again, so many times. So fun.
