I know, I get it, I get the whole time-line, the power of production, the need to get the thing out door in time to coincide, whatever other numerous reasons. I just can't fathom why movie with such awesome gaming potential ALWAYS comes out with such crap for the consoles. It's disappointing and I can't help myself, no matter how hard I try I keep buying them I just figure maybe this one will have some value. Alas, my hopes are brutally shot down in bad design flames.

WHY WHY WHY??!

Probably because they rush it, they have over paid programmers doing under paid work. The production manager's of those games are pansy's who take the directors/producers lame ideas and put them into there movie game? There are a ton of reasons why Movie Themed games have sucked buckets in the past. Once thing I've noticed, is that they usually ALWAYS release the game first before the movie. I dunno, that seems kinda dumb in a way. I know I personally will not touch a movie themed game that's released before the actual movie. Why would I waste my time and my surprise on what I know will be a crappy game. It just doesn't make sense. They need to really start taking there time on making the movie games and not worry about release dates etc. That just sets them up for disaster.

Yeah exactly, and there are some mediocre games out as well, that are fairly good. Spiderman 2 was one of these IMO.

I enjoyed Goldeneye, probably would have enjoyed Riddick, and enjoyed the Warriors, the Godfather as well, and maybe others.

Thanks for the response Cptn Anmosity it's been a real pleasure reading your aggressive response. Your insulting and rude words warrant no defense about my age, my gaming ability, nor my right as an individual to do and buy what I want and the right to express my opinion therein. So I will only say this....what in the world would prompt you to be so aggressive and hateful on a forum to someone you dont know? You certainly have a right to your opinion and thx for that educated expression of it, but honestly man no need for the personal attack.

There's your problem. It is people like you that allow games like that to exist.

i always wanted to play Riddick, i hope too someday. Otherwise, the majority of movie based games, do generally suck.

Yeah even though I don't buy alot of them I know what you mean. I always hold out hope that the games based on movies I really like turn out good. Riddick and Goldeneye were very good and I did really enjoy the Lord of the Rings beat 'em ups and RTS games. There have been a couple of decent Spiderman games as well. Even though it's not based on a movie, at least I don't think it is, I'm holding out hope that John Woo's Stranglehold turns out to be a solid game. I think it might help too if the people in charge of the movie took a little more care in who they hand over the rights to make a game based on the movie.
