So my N64 came in the mai today, I'm quite happy. Somehow, someway, I never owned one of these in the past. I played them a lot, my cousin had this, I had other systems, you know how it worked out back in the day. Anyhow, I got it, 9 games, and I'm kind of pissed that i have to work today.

Anyhow, I hadn't played some of these games, but man, they got some decent GS scores. Turok 2, Tony Hawk Pro Skater, Perfect Dark, Majora's Mask(Gold cartridge), Forsaken 64, Ocerina of Time, WWF War Zone, 007 Goldeneye, and and Starfox 64.

I've never played that Tony Hawk, Forsaken, Turok 2, or that Starfox. Gamespot praised them, what do you guys think?

Unfortunately, in my opinion, some of those games did not age well. You'll definiftely see it in Turok, Tony Hawk, and Forsaken. But, they were good at the time.

Congrats on the N64!!

The n64 had some great games, but some didn't age well. But regardless, it's still an important system to experience, and gamespots reviews for n64 games were pretty spot on.

A lot of the games you can find dirt cheap, (cart only usually) just be careful. Some sellers tend to overcharge for n64 games.

Have fun with your n64 :)

Hope you can enjoy it. I find it nearly impossible to play the 64 anymore.

Forsaken isn't a bad game today I don't think. It's no worse than it was back then, which wasn't bad at all really. Anyways, you've got some good games in that collection. You should really clear your schedule of any plans one night so you can sit and play through Goldeneye. Chances are you wont come anywhere near to completing it in a single sitting, but you might find you have become addicted to it. A few other titles I recommend checking out are Diddy Kong Racing (which in my opinion is far superior to Mario Kart 64), Pilotwings 64 (a good experience, though a little on the short side), Blast Corps (which I can only describe as a destructive driving puzzle game) and F-Zero X (which is a pretty fast paced racer, and my favourite entry in the series).

I loved Blast Corps. I remember getting that game as a random birthday present not even knowing what it was. Such an interesting, and original title. One worthy of a remake I believe.

Yeah that game was really fun. It's one of my favourites. If it were ever to be remade I would hope they include some kind of map maker as it would be such an easy game to build levels for.

i have never seen an non-limeted edition of majora's mask. i pre-ordered it so i could get the gold one like OoT had, and was so pissed that they only sold the limited edition.

Starfox 64 is amazing, but I have never played the other three. I'm not sure if they have it, but if they do, get Ocarina of Time: Master Quest. It is the same storyline as Ocarina of Time, but all of the dungeons are harder (unfortunately, the bosses are not).

waferlawrence
Rpg's on the N64 are few and far between. It was not a favoured genre on the system for some reason. Besides Paper Mario, there's little I can suggest myself. The most commonly mentioned RPG's are Ogre Battle 64, Quest 64 and Aidyn Chronicles, but i've no experience with any of those games so you'll have to look up the details on Wiki or wait and see what others have to say about them on here. Sorry.
