I was actually really angry at TP when i beat it. Maybe its just me, but its ending was lackluster and the final boss fight was ridiculusly easy... i hope the next zelda game is harder than TP. Does anyone else agree with me?

After have put well over 150+ hours into TP beetween my different save files, id have to agree the ending was lackluster and pretty anti-climactic, not to mention quite easy. Infact, I would say the entire game was a bit to easy. I would definately like to see the next Zelda be a little bit longer/more difficult than TP was. Thats not to imply TP wasnt challenging in its own right tho. There were definately a few puzzles I was stumped on for a bit. But what I think made it so easy was the combat, and especially the boss battles. I mean most throw away mobs could be dispatched in a few slices with your sword, and a bulk of the boss battles were just mini puzzles really, once you figured out the proper way to beat them, you could easily defeat them in no time without even getting scratched.
Of course, I did like the size of the world. Now I just wish they would have filled it up a bit more. A lot of the places felt very empty, even most of the ''bustling'' towns. But of course I did put in loads of time, so I obviously enjoyed it. A bulk of my time spent tho (like most zelda games) was just running around trying to find chests + heart pieces. All in all id say I was slightly dissapointed with TP, but not enough so that ive turned my back on the franchise or anything. I just hope the next zelda title try's to bring a little more to the table, rather than just relying on what made the old zelda's such great games.
Clan_Crushbone, i agree with everything that you said. I thought that there should've been more interaction with NPCs in the towns. Even in Castle Town the people really didn't say anything that was that interesting at all. I also thought there was a lack of enough side quests. I want to get a zelda game with alot of side quests, a great main quest, a higher difficulty, and more interaction with NPCs. And TP only had the great main quest in my opinion
I loved the final boss too. To some it may not have been challenging, but it was more than made up for with the variety in how Gannon was fought.
I think fighting Gannon was great!
As for the ending...I liked it and didn't at the same time. I thought the ending with Midna was just right but I guess people wanted to see more of what happens after with Link and Zelda, maybe people wanted to see them gettin` it on, or something.
I thought it was just right. The whole game was about Link, Midna, and Zelda, so it was fine to me.
The ending battle was very epic, but I believe that they tried stuffing too much into it. Each of the four segments themselves were too short. I wouldn't have minded a one hour-long battle if each segment had been longer or more challenging. I also wish Ganondorf's light sword did more damage.
...overall, I just wish it were longer and/or more difficult.
Well i've written a review on the game if you wanna know my complete take on it. But I do agree the game in general was a tad on the easy side(doesn't really bother me, just surprised it was). But the fact is, I still found the game to be very fun and a great experience regardless of difficulty, thats all that really matters to me. As for the final battle, or should I say battles, they were both cool to me. As someone said above, I was expecting Zant to be the end all battle, and fighting him through (please put a SPOILER warning in the title if we're going to discuss this) multiple stages, having to use many of the items you required throughout the game (and the fact his wackyness the whole time was freakin' hilarious) made that battle memorable for me.
As for fighting Ganon/Ganondorf, the battle immediately brought back memories of fighting him in Ocarina of Time (for obvious reasons), then having to fight him in Wolf form was great touch, (c'mon! beast against beast!). Epona was then put to great use (IMO, Twilight Princess made the best use ANY Zelda game has made of her), and the final sword battle was the way it should have been: Epic, intense fair, requires use of various sword techniques you learn throughout the game, and most importantly, FUN. I didn't think Link would find a better way to finish Ganondorf off than they way he did in The Wind Waker, but man, driving the Master Sword hard through his chest felt DARN GOOD! Hands down my favorite and most memorable Zelda ending boss fights.
Now let me ask you guy something, and this is something I also bring up in my review. When Midna changed back into her original form and speaks to Link. Did the proper lip-synching and the fact that you get a glimpse of the feeling of actual voice acting in the game not make you wish it was there all along? I did for me.
I found the game to be really good but just felt that the game was really overhyped so my expectations was really high and I just didn't get that OoT experience still was a great game but just not what I was hoping. The final boss was really fun maybe not so hard but really fun.Synchro456
Thats a major reason why, for reputables series like Zelda, I don't bother digging too deep into it and discussing it too much while in development. I honestly ignored just about all the pre-release buzz for the game and began playing knowing practically nothing about it beyond that fact that it was a more mature game than they typically are and was well-recieved by critics and consumers. By not "expecting" much, you don't leave yourself open to be let down by being (honestly no offensive) foolish enough to expect certain things in the first place.
I just played the game I was given and I enjoyed it.
