Call of Duty: 13-17

Halo: 14-21

Elder Scrolls Skyrim: 15-25

Battlefield: console: 15-20, PC: 18-30

The Witcher: 18-25

What are some games/series that seem to specifically target people in their mid 20s or higher?

The better question would be to explain why you feel that they are targeted towards those age groups?

25 years old for Skyrim? No way adults can invest that much time into games.

I'd say COD is more universal than that as it is designed for instant thrills.

I'd also put Halo much older than that. It is one of the few fps games I play that I hear more adults than children.

"Battlefield: console: 15-20, PC: 18-30"

What? What's your reasoning behind the difference here?

Anyway, I sincerely doubt that game studios EVER try to target older audiences. They want the 8-17 crowd more than anything, but they're forced to slap on T or M ratings. If studios were honest and admitted that they want 10 year olds playing their ultra violent games (which they absolutely do for that $$$) they'd get ripped apart. Not many games have large concentrations of adults in them: games like WoW are an exception and that's most likely the result of subscription fees.
