so many games over the years(29 now, so close to 25 years of gaming)...cant pick just 1. games i still play that are years old...Zelda Link to past, SMB3, Super Metroid, Starcraft 1, diablo 2, warcraft 3.
Diablo 2 and Guild Wars. Not because of the games themselves, but because of some of the people I met while playing them. Someone I met on Diablo 2 ended up being one of my best friends now. I was lucky that he lives in the same state as me and I've been able to see him a couple times when I visit relatives in his area.
Pokemon Silver. Got it when I was six years old and now I own every generation of Pokemon games that have came out. It was also the game that introduced me to video games.
Star Fox for the SNES was one of the titles that got me into gaming and perked my interest in game development. I think that I was about six at the time so that was about 11 years ago.
Final Fantasy VIII also gets a mention, Squall is just... he kind of rubs off on me as someone that can change himself to better others (only ten hours in, no spoilers please!).
Final Fantasy 8 (Not the first game I ever played, but it is what got me into gaming) Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy (I can`t wait for the J&D Collection) Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (Favorite game ever)
I am phycic so I can go ahead and say Skyrim will beat out Oblivion for my favorite game. But Oblivion introduced me to the series (Elder Scrolls) and the genera (sand box RPG), so I will leave it as the one that changed me.

Some stuff happens to people. HAHA take THAT... jk. I hate it when I hit [Preview], to check my spelling, and when I get back somebody wrote something before I got to read it.
It was Super Mario Land on my cousin's gameboy. I never would have even played a game without that, I don't think. My mom didn't even like me getting into it, either. But my uncle gave me one of those old gameboys for Christmas, and I got obsessed with it. I don't think you guys understand how limiting the word "gameboy" was.
