Hey gang,

So here's the situation: my brother and I are in different states, and we still love playing video games together, but we're having trouble settling on one that we'll both enjoy. Here's some criteria to help out with the suggestions:

  • Progression based (so each time we log on, we're working towards some ultimate goal).
  • Kind of shying away from FPS (there's not a tremendous amount of replay value in our opinion, feel free to disagree)
  • We like MMORPG open world progression type game, but neither one of have the time to invest in a full-blown MMO.
  • Something fairly simplistic (we're both relatively old-school in taste).

In summary, we're looking for an awesome open-ended co-op game that lets you have adventure without being overly complicated or time consuming; something we can put down one weekend, then pick up right where we left off.

I know that's all sorta' vague but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I know exactly what you mean.

Off the top of my head:

- Wizard101

- Osirus New Dawn

- Age of Empires Conquerors edition or HD edition

- Empyrion Galactic Survival. (I'd sort of recommend this one. Dozens of planets each with their own lifeforms, aliens and climates for you to explore. You can build a home and a spaceship of your own.)

- The Forest

Enjoy mate

I agree with several of these picks.
