I just got a Gamer Gear off of Ebay with the AC Adapter. It came with: -Sonic the Hedgehog 2 -The Lion King -Tom and Jerry -Batman and Robin -Aladdin I really only plan on keeping Sonic 2 and Batman & Robin. I was wondering what some of the good games are on Game Gear other than Sonic & X-Men games (I already plan on getting those)? -Nate-
Few things: 1. Sonic 2 is really, really difficult on Game Gear due to the screen cropping from the Master System original. You'd almost definitely enjoy Sonic Chaos or Sonic Triple Trouble more. 2. The Lion King and Aladdin are actually pretty sweet games. Now then. Other games you should get: Shinobi II: The Silent Fury Pengo Jurassic Park Columns Game Gear Aleste Bust-A-Move Phantasy Star Gaiden Defenders of Oasis Gunstar Heroes Among others.
Thanks for reminding me about the Master System. I also planned on picking up a Master System Adapter and Game Genie for it. Are those worth it, or am I wasting my time with useless add-ons? -Nate-
My gamegear died about 10 years ago but I still have it and all its games and attachments. I would say that the master system adapter is worth while as there are some really good master system games worth playing e.g. Choplifter, Time Soldiers, Zillion, Alex Kid, Out Run, Space Harrier. As for gamegear games I would check out the following;
the lion king and aladdin are great Batman and robin not so much as for other great game gear games: batman returns Powerstrike 2 (the best 8 bit SHMUP if you ask me) Shinobi 1 and 2 Shining Force Alien 3 is cool Ax Battler The mickey Mouse Games Crystal Warriors Defenders of Oasis Fatal Fury special (the best fighting game on the game gear) Samurai Shodown The Power Ranger games (I swear i'm not kidding) Lucky Dime caper starring Donald Duck Ninja Gaiden Psychic World Virtua Fighter Vampire Master of Darkness Streets of Rage 2
