Still A LOT cheaper then buying the actual carts themselves.N3MO
Well I was worried that they would be equal to or greater than N64 game prices so I suppose it's good. I mean literally there is no other legal, viable way to pick these titles up for me.
*e-slaps you for getting my hopes up* Gawd I hope they bring this stuff to other countries. It's pure gold.selbie
Oh it's definetely coming to us in the west, it was actually supposed to materialise this summer and this is the first I've heard of it since then. I'd say that definetely by the end of the year, america, europe, austrailia. Though I know on VC Austrailia was initially shafted on VC.

Heh. I'm not surprised by that at all. We always get the short end of the stick, even in comparison to Europe :?I hate you for this, GG. In time.... you'll pay.nopalversion
Somehow I knew that gg wasmessing around. I think I've finally learnt to recognize true evil.
Where are all the good games? Where's Garou, Metal Slug, Kof?SpaceDragonMan
I suppose they're releasing them in chronological order.

Eh, is there anything worth playing on this system that isnt a 2D fighter? I have no intrest in those so what else do we got?GodModeEnabled
2D shooters. :P
100 megashock!
Awesome, well for now in Japan at least. :P
The Neo Geo was quite the 2D powerhouse of a machine that lasted an incredibly long life especially when the cost of the games and the fact that pretty much all of the big retail stores didn't carry it. While the Metal Slug and King of Fighter games are the highlight of the machine there is quite a few other titles I'd love to grab like Super 8 Man, Magician Lord, King of Monsters 2, Sengoku, and Last Resort which are a few I can recall off the top of my head.

*Little does Godmode know that he has fallen into my trap.... and thus the trap is sprung!*

Yea, Neo Geo....woooh....just fighters and shooters? What about gamers like me, who play RPG's? Fighting games are fine and everything, but they can't make up the entirety of your damn library. Gimme an engrossing RPG along the lines of Phantasy Star, Dragon Warrior, Final Fantasy, and many others (not Golden Axe Warrior :P).Video_Game_King
Unless they decide to release some Neo Geo CD titles, I'm afraid you're out of luck...although no-one should miss at least seeing Magician Lord ;)
I REALLY hope they release Waku Waku 7. I've only played it on an arcade machine I found in Spain, but it was love at first sight. Well, love enough to get me to that machine at least once a day for two weeks.JGonspy
Waku Waku 7? I love that game! Nice to know someone other then me loves that game...
I don't understand people complaining about Neo Geo's catalogue. I mean, sure it mainly consists of Fighters, scrawling shooters and sports but you mustn't forget that all these are at the end of the day just arcade games. Besides it's not like you will only have to play NeoGeo titles on the VC, there are and will be plenty of RPGs and other type games.
I think this is truly great news. It will be the first time I will be able to enjoy these games on a home console at a very good price.
All that remains is buying one or two of these ...
to make the most of the Neo Geo experience
 Look what's coming to Japan
But the first Japan only games are now coming...... to the west :D Austrailia to be exact and what aussie-trailia gets, Europe does too!
Two new games have been rated by the OFLC in Australia - Mario's Super Picross on the SNES and Super Mario Bros. 2 (Japan) on the NES.
This is just the beginning! (Please translate Fire emblem)

Your new sig rules.
So, what were the best games on Neo Geo? I really have little knowledge of this system at all. I was the kid going 'Pfft....why would I want to waste so much money on that when I have Genesis and SNES'.

All us Fire Emblem fans want Nintendo to translate Fire Emblem. I really want them to translate Monshou no Nazo, because I did not understand a word in Book 2. Maybe Thracia 776, because fan translations only go so far.

Lol. Thanks.
High points for me include:
- King of Fighter series (mostly 94' to 98' )
- King of Monsters
- Samurai Shodown series (mainly the first two)
- NAM 1975
- The Metal Slugs
