needless to repeat but i want to repeat i am yet to gain a ps2, so online is unknown, i have pc but its a celeron one with no net.

what i want to know whether is there any possibility that for e.g. there is a famous multiplayer online game going on but after some time the company suddenly closes it due to some issues, is that possible, like squareenix would spot ff11 cause they went bankrupt.

inshort are there risks of discontinuation even if one would have paid to play online?

and is online play really worth the deal? i think it would depend on game type and player type choices.

The only games that are closed down in a way are MMOs but that takes years. For example it took years for the unpopular Matrix Online to be closed down. Other than an example of online PC gaming that is and will be forever is CS 1.6 which is 10 years old and still one of the most played games out there. Online gaming is not for everyone. I personally prefer playing FPS games online becouse people are more excting than enemies with bad AI.

YES i see, thanks for the info, i guess indeed fps suits the online play theme, its got to be fun, i have seen counter strike in tv shows never played one though i am good with a snipper in fps games. i like stealth and all out war games but the only exp there for me so far are metal gear (i know its hard to count it as a fps but stealth is there and so are guns) and all the three early delta force titles.
