We are very busy working on the game! Everything is going well, but the game is a huge project. We should have more information and some new assets for you soon.

As we have said before, we have often had long gaps between asset releases on previous games and will continue to do so in the future. We are sorry if you find this frustrating, but please understand, we don?t do this because we ?don?t care about our fans' 'don?t respect our fans? 'hate GTA fans etc' ? precisely the opposite! We do it because we want to make sure we only release 100% correct information, and because we want to keep plenty back for the actual game release so there are still lots of surprises when you play it. The only things we care about are that you enjoy the experience of actually playing the game and that we release accurate information. We just have not been in a position to show more of the game than the trailer and will not be for a while yet. We did, however, manage to sneak a quick screenshot out for you? it?s not much, but we thought it was pretty fun

Hopefully it isn't too long before we see something more substantial. The first trailer was awesome.

I have to give it to Rockstar. Despite the GTA series being one of the most overrated, overhyped series in gaming history, they really do care about their products and you can tell by the outstanding visuals. Going by the new screenshots, if people thought GTA IV looked fantastic, they may be in for a surprise with GTA V!

I just had a wild idea. Imagine Max Payne 3 shooting mechanics in GTA V. Red Dead had slow mo so why cant GTA V? Get rid of Shootdodge, it's useless anyway. Give me bullet time, free aim, refine the character movements and cover mechanics a bit and I will eat it up like a chocolate sundae.

You could slow down time while driving in GTA IV? It's been awhile since I played GTA IV, but I don't remember that?

edit: You've got to click the left stick to enable slowmo during the 'cinematic mode' that you trigger whenever you hold 'circle' or 'b'. It is there, I promise.

I remember stating, on here, that I think it would be possible for them to release it in October, but there's so many good games coming out, such as the ones you mentioned, along with Borderlands 2 and Sleeping Dogs, that may have Rockstar delay the game until early 2013 so that it can shine on its own without the big guns hindering it, such as Halo 4 and COD BO II.

i doubt that the game will be released this year.

Great looking screenshots, but I'm still a bit disappointed that Rockstar is going back to previously used city rather than using a new one (Bogota would have been a great choice). I'm sure I'll get over my disappointment as more footage is shown, but for now GTA5 isn't something I'm on pins and needles for despite the fact I have really enjoyed all the modern GTAs (even the controversial GTA4).

Yes, but I'm talking about the big guns of THIS YEAR, not next year. The pic with the chopper really doesn't look all that improved from GTA IV to my mind's eye; perhaps a bit sharper I suppose. I like how much work Rockstar puts into their games, but truth be told, I don't need GTA anymore -- I have Just Cause 2 and that gives me every fix I ever needed from GTA and then some.

They look like they could be shots from IV. That being said, they still lok great. Definitely a more vibrant locale to play with. I can't wait for this. If what they've said comes to fruition, this will be bigger than SA. And that's saying something. I just hope the story is a little more light hearted.

All I really want from this game is the jet pack(still hoping it'll be in there). Oh, and duel wielding weapons.
