Just take the Tatsunoko vs. Capcom engine, make a deal with Marvel, and you've got it practically made!

Take the Street Fighter IV engine, ramp up the speed, throw Magneto, Omega Red, Captain Commando and Strider in it, and you're good to go!

Fil and I talk about this in this week's Daikenkai, which should be going up sometime tonight.

This was basically an announcement, and although I only regard MvC2 as just a hair better than the MK games, I still think this is good for the fighting genre and the current wave it seems to be riding.

Do you think Capcom will go the Street Fighter IV route or recycle the old sprites and HD it?

I actually would prefer they recycle the old MvsC2 sprites, HD it, and then add some new characters. But I'm sure they're not going to do that.
