NGC or XBOX which one?

What would u reccomend more a gamecube or a orginal xbox? I know what games 2 get both systems and i have played xbox and gamecube before but i cant decide on which 2 get it will be after christmas. If got a xbox i would get: Halo 1 and 2, KOTOR 1 and 2, ninja gaiden, half life 2, Incredbile hulk and others.

If i got a gamecube i would get: Metroid prime 1 and 2, super mario sunshine, super smash bros, melee, mario kart, time splitters 2 and others. See i know what games 2 get i cant decide on which console 2 get please help me!!! >:(

It all depends: Which do you want more? Go for that one.

Personally, I'd recommend the Gamecube, mostly for it's price and large amount of excellent titles. It's also, IMO, the better looking of the two, but that's just me. Like I said, go with the console that YOU want more.

Funny, I just picked up a gamecube the other day for like 27 bucks. I did own an xbox back in the day and I got a lot of fun out of it. So if I had to choose I would go with the GC just cause there are more memorable games on there

GameCube, the exclusives on GameCube are freaking awesome, Eternal Darkness is a must. However, I suggest you get KOTOR 1/2, Jade Empire, Morrowind, and Doom 3 on PC. Morrowind especially must be played on PC simply because of all the mods.

If you are an FPS fan - get an XBox...

For everything else - GameCube :)

The original Xbox.Most of the following games I played andif I haven't they have warrented high reviews. They are either Xbox exclusives or can't be found on the GC.

Having both the gamecube and the xbox, I'd have to disagree with people so far and say, if you could only pick one, pick the Xbox. While I like both systems, I'd have to say the XBox is superior due to various reasons. 1) More games (and it's far easier to find games on the Xbox now than it is on the gamecube). 2) Better exclusives. A lot of people are pointing to stuff like Zelda and Resident Evil being on the GC, which is all well and good, but they are counter-balanced by the likes of KotOR 1 & 2, Jade Empire, Halo 1 & 2, Morrowind, Republic Commando, Fable, etc. While the cube has some good exclusives, IMO the XBox has better ones (and more). 3) It plays DVDs. GC doesn't. (though you do need to buy the DVD remote for them to work, which is dumb) 4) Someone said the GC controller is better than the XBox's, which is a flat-out lie. The original (first) controller for the XBox sucked; then they redesigned it to one that is even better than the 360's. However, the GC's controller is one of the most awkward in the history of gaming (not to mention it has an extremely short cord, forcing you to sit closer to your TV) - the only one I can think of that's worse is the N64's. 5) A lot of the multiplatform games of last gen (the Prince of Persia series, Jedi Knight series, LOTR, etc.) look best on XBox, since it's the most powerful beast of the three systems from last gen. So, if you can only pick one, I'd go for the XBox.DarthVillainous
