Nintendo Switch is for babies

The Nintendo Switch is for players under 12 years old. This new console is tiny, expensive and will be in the bargain bins in 6 months just like the Wii U, collecting dust. If you are a true gamer then you won't waste your money on this tiny little baby game console.

I mean who thinks splashing others with paint or collecting coins as a plumber or using slinky arms for punching is fun. It's all lame, don't bother with this system. Either get yourself an tablet, laptop or PS4, don't waste money buying a console that will have no games in 6 months, This is just the latest effort of Nintendo to stay afloat and compete with PC, Xbox, and PS4

Yet I also travel every day on train (it's a grown-up thing/ jobs) so the Switch is handy. Regardless you made a thread about current games; and I was chatting with a fellow Hunter. Did you skip that in ignorance, or do you suffer from something? Short attention-span perhaps_

Difference is when I want to play, say Bayonetta 2, Breath of the Wild, or Mario Odyssey? I can. Because I like gaming and have a job to buy games on platforms that suit my interest.

I'm not some Bigot telling people what to play; and what system to play it on.

I believe to play what one wants, regardless of system preference. All these gaming systems are cool in my view as they all play games. And though will gladly argue what I like and dislike, I respect valid praises; and criticisms from games even ones I really enjoy.

Lol, Nintendo is very stubborn. As a console its way weaker than the base Xbox One. It also has storage problems. There are other problems going on with it that I'm forgetting to mention.

Nintendo doesn't make that many mature games. The Switch is disappointing to me. System Wars is that way. ------->

But Splatoon 2, Mario Odyssey and Arms are better than the exclusives that came out for the other two consoles in 2017. Add in Zelda BotW and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and it’s a slaughter.

Arms is not a good Fighting game in any respect. Though I commend Nintendo for trying something different in the Fighting game genre, no. . Who are you kidding_

Even though I've been enjoying more multiplats from 2017 going to give a personal shout out for Gravity Daze 2, fun game, gets forgotten too much, did come out early 2017 and met with a lot of high scores and well received.

Wasn't a game I enjoyed much but seen a lot of praise for Horizon: Zero Dawn.

Then add to that a game I haven't played; Forza Motorsport 7. Still seems to be one of the top Racing series for a reason. Personally prefer Wipeout and Mario Kart but sales, and its reputation speaks for itself. It's a quality "exclusive".

MK8 Deluxe changes things up just enough imo that it doesn't count as just a BC version of a Xbox 360 game. If you have played it, you would know what I mean.

And no I don't have the latest port of a WiiU game I owned if that helps your case. However, from that brief lowdown I don't think you own/ or have tried any of the games I mentioned either. So stating what's "a slaughter" is horribly bias anyway.

Maybe we should all just agree 2017 was a great year for games (outside of lootboxes), ports and all.

With that Super Mario Odyssey, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and Splatoon 2, if someone is grabbing a Switch? these are the three games to try-out in my opinion. All of them are really good.

Which is still/ aka/ ports. Remasters tend to add a few features to win over people who have already bought the game previously. Sony did something similar with the Uncharted collection and The Last of Us and guess how much I cared to rebuy them. . . 0%

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is still the same WiiU game. And not sure who you're fooling but yourself. Let's look at Splatoon 2, which is a sequel and rightfully so, completely reworked balancing, improved engine, and makes the effort to be a whole new game.

They don't, however they also don't cost anything, and let me remind you Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is a re-released 'port' at full retail price.

Now if you never owned a WiiU (understandable) Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is a great game to jump into. For returning players it's a much tougher sell, and unless its one of your most played games, really not worth a rebuy.

And I'm not against Remasters, I rebought Bayonetta 2 which was my favorite WiiU game, and going to rebuy Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. Yet I know full well they're the same games with tacked on novelties. Even with added content these two are not new games. And counting them as such is pretty stupid. Must we do this everytime Resident Evil 4 is re-released as well?

Do you understand yet; If you're blind enough to consider a WiiU port/ Remaster "exclusive". Xbox owners have the same right to consider the backwards compatibility, which is a console exclusive feature this gen (that really sucks). And may I add (again) Xbox is not putting behind a paywall, it's free.

I don't even own an Xbox One but if you ask me every platform has something going for it, more so in a Gamers favor if you have multiple systems.

When someone uses Arms as an argument in the context you did originally, it reminded me of a certain Sony Fanboi who bragged about The Order 1886. Which like Arms, isn't worth bragging about.

Not stating one can't enjoy either game, but they are pretty mediocre games. You'd have to be blissfully ignorant to Xbox and PlayStation to put over a casual/ clunky Fighting game.

Debatable, taste varies after all. And we had a lot of quality games. For me multiplatform games won 2017. If I had to narrow down an exclusive it's probably Divinity: Original Sin II (P.C.) though all did pretty good in my view as my original reply to you covered. Go back if that escapes you.

Ripped apart Little Big Planet 3 while burning it with fire; all while cursing the developer. And finally told Shadow of the Beast to go &^*% itself. (all three are PlayStation exclusives)

I have no platform bias dood. My only loyalty is to my taste in gaming. Which, like my various platforms, is mixed.

I've burned more than enough Sony Fanbois ser. When I don't even like half the exclusives Sony dish out, it's easy to follow. However for a lot of them, like the other platforms, I at least will accept they're for required taste, just not my taste. However if I can't understand what's attractive on a game I've played, I will focus more on the negatives.

Then if you've seen me around in the past? would know I'm no stranger to giving Sony the finger. I'm very vocal about the charging of people to play PlayStation 2 games 'PlayStation 2 Classics', they have the emulator running and refuse to let us use our PS2 discs. That's some low levels of corporate greed.

In the 80's and 90's a lot of games didn't have violence or mature themes. You should have seen the shit storm when mortal kombat had blood and fatalities. I grew up back then so today's games don't need to have mature themes for me to like them. I enjoy games more for their creativity over anything else. I actually don't care about story or realism in games. Most of these mature themed games seem pretty childish in their own right.

Yeah, its a pretty rubbish piece of hardware for the price and lets be honest, Nintendo has been geared towards childish games for 25+ years now. It's kinda creepy how hardcore a lot of their adult fans are, especially the Japanese BUT it's their prerogative, I wouldn't buy it but let them waste their money.
