i'm one of those people that is forever in a circle of friends that dont have any good gaming systems... so out of the kindness of my heart i developed the habit of packing up my system(s) and bringing them with me to hangout at my friends' houses... i am also one of those people that are extremly overprotective of thier games (i've been told that i baby them once or twice)

and what i want to know is this: is the life of a gaming nomad bad for my systems? i mean to say i know it cant be too healthy for em... but on a scale of 1 to 10. 1 being a non vetilated room and 10 being tossing my Wii down the stairs... how damaging is it for me to be (almost) constantly packing up my systems then unpacking them, then doing it all over again... i've been doing it for years so this question is a bit overdue...

They are electronics, not a human child.

Packing and unpacking on a scale of 1 - 10 would be a zero. Heck tossing your Wii down the stairs shouldnt cause anything more than surface scratches and dents. You can easily drop a Wii repeatedly down one set of stairs before any actual damage is caused that would render it unplayable.

It alright to be careful with your system, but they are hardly frail. I can see your care being justified for games though, considering minor scratches can make it unplayable or suffer from notable defects.
