I believe both studios are about to release public tests, with Vanguard having announced an actual date for the beta.

Do you play both series a lot?

If not, I would recommend giving each game test a go.

Is it gonna have a singleplayer? I'm not sure if it's an unpopular opinion but I love BF's and COD's campaigns.

I’m skipping the new CoD this year. I really enjoyed Black Ops: Cold War, but find it overwhelming how they come out with a new game every year, especially after investing so much time in the multiplayer.

@ratchetclank92: These games would benefit from a longer shelf life than just the 12 months.

Especially now that they integrate into Warzone.

Battlefield 2042 for your multiplayer needs.

Call of Duty for your single player needs.

I prefer Battlefield series all around. You’re probably going to get the older gamers/mature on Battlefield. My experience with Call of Duty has mainly been with plenty of childish adults and more the mature gamers on Battlefield. You’re still going to get manchildren on Battlefield but not like CoD.

Would be nice to see 1 or 2 of the 3 Activision teams stuck doing COD's yearly be working on something like Singularity 2 or another similar awesome single player focused fps that goes against the COD formula..
