So I have mild to bad Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and while I don't wash my hands until they bleed, it does rear it's ugly head while I'm gaming. A few examples:

I have to cut all the grass in every Zelda game I've ever played. I have to. I'm anticipating PH with bated breath, as grass is going to be everywhere.....I just know it.

Shooting all the glass out in Halo. This is a must and nags at me for the rest of the entire game unless I do it from the start.

So does anyone else have any certain gaming ticks?

I thought I was the only one :D. I am currently playing zelda at the moment and I cannot just leave grass there. If I accidently cut down one, then I have to cut down them all so the first one isn't lonely :P.

Any time I played a Zelda game, I would smash every single pot I could find, ever. :D When playing FPS games, I have an annoying habit of reloading every single time I kill someone, even if I've only used a single bullet and my gun holds 100.

Cutting grass, aye? Sounds like you guys need to commision John Deere to make you a really long grass cutting RPG, lol (joking).

Seriously though, I guess the only thing that I really get obsessed with in games is making sure that I have scaled an entire level until I have absolutely discovered everything in it. I am sure this one is quite the common one though, lol.

Yeah I dodo stuff like this a lot too, including the Zelda grass and the glass in every window in any shooter.

OCD must suck hard. Specially since the affected appear to know they have it and cannot do anything to stop it. *shivers*

if i do something more than 2 times in a row then i have to do it 4 times in a row. like if i tap something 3 times then i have to tap it once more or if i knock a door twice then i have to knock it 2 more times.

The only thing I can think of is saving two or three times in a row, because I read something on my computer and sometimes forget if I really saved or not, or I make a habit to save even if I change one little thing about whatever I'm playing, using an item or equipping something for example.

If it's any consolation, there's plenty of people announcing that after playing through every PS2 game and playing WoW, they realized gaming is a total waste of time, and that they're going to travel. That's video game bulimia. All binge and purge.
