if you look at my histoy of board posts youll notice its heavily dripping with nostalgic feelings.

maybe its because im searching for a game that makes me feel how i used to.

wasit because i was younger when i played them.

i think its because before when i was young i used to have to save up my money when a game was released. now i can go to a store and spend a bit on a new release and theres not as much gratification to it.

plus games of "high production" are being released so often its hard to truly appreciate a game for its worth.

but when i was young and playing chrono trigger or ff7, i was immersed in them. i spent hours playing them.

i still do but i dont feel that ten or so years from now im going to have the same good feeling as i do now about those older ones.

even diablo, doom, resident evil 1,2etc... those were fantastic and i still enjoy playing them.

i spend a bit of cash trying to track down old consoles and games now more than i do new ones it seems.

OK. Start living in the present. That doesn't mean don't play old games. Just get your head out of some bygone era and live life today. Enjoy all the wonderful things that are right here and right now. Enjoy classic games for what they are. If you like them better then current games, good. Play them instead of current games. If you like both, play both. Just don't waste right now by wishing it was back then

its kind of ^&&* MOVE to say it like that, all im saying is that alot of games nowadays dont have the same charm and originality they used to. everything uses the same unreal engine. and as games become more realistic they lose some of the old surreal qualities. but thats not to say i dont have a liking for new games. i just miss the charm of the old ones. i appreciate what your saying though. but im just waiting for a game to come around that will feel completely new and original.

This, my friend, is common knowledge! Your not the only one that feels this way. Its just the way life works, out with the old in with the new (in this case, the BLAND and MILKED new.) I'm getting my fix by hunting down old titles that I never got to expereince and so far I'm getting my fix. :D
