Okami is such a great game!!!!

I've never really heard much about this game. I kind of remember hearing something about it when it first came out, but I was to worried about my 360 to care. My friend let me have his copy of it for the Wii but it was so scrached up that it kept freezing. I was about 8 hours into it, but I did't care I was gonna play this game!!! So I went to gamestop and asked if they had it for the PS2 (for controll reasons) of course they did't but a Gamestop about 40mins away did (I had the guy check) for $17.99 the last one in the whole area!

I never would have done this for any other game, drive 40 mins and to start the game all over. Okami is really that darn good;)

The 18 minute intro really put me off. It put me down so much that I have yet to pick it up after that point. No worries though, I just picked up the game 2 days ago.KHAndAnime

Yeah, I agree I picked up the game at gamestop for $11.69 with the 25% coupon coupled with my edge card 10% and the intro coupled with the irritating voices of the narrative and that bug makes getting into the game hard. I'm sure it gets better once you actually start playing and I plan to do that soon.

Like you, I didn't know much about the game either. It wasn't until it came out on Wii that it sparked my attention. I played with the idea of getting it until my boss told me to get it on the PS2 instead. I managed to find a copy in my town for £7.99 and I must agree, it's a good game. I think they are even pretty rare now too on the PS2.

It's a brilliant game. Oddly enough I was listening to the soundtrack when I saw this topic. :) Anyway, I purchased this game when it first came out on PS2, and like others said, I just ran out of patience by the intro and didn't look back. 2 years later I decided to give it another shot and I'm glad I gave it another chance. One of my fav. games; the artwork, characters, gameplay and ofcourse the soundtrack... what more can I say :)

okami.....damn i love that game, i got it a few weeks after it launched and beat it two times, i really should go back and play it again after i have cleared my backloggery

Yeah I noticed that too. With the Wii version it lets you skip everything if you want. And I noticed the Wii version looks much better, but the controls are garbage. The slash attack works maybe 1 out of 5 times, but drawing bombs where alot more fun and seems to work fine

I think the game is terrible. The horrid combat is horrid. Same thing over and over again in a small circle, I just wish the enemies free roamed like Zelda games.

For me it was backwards. The beginning was more exciting, it was when you begin to start doing more town stuff that it got boring for me.

Very true, Okami is yet still memorable in everyway.

It's good but it is some slog of a game. There were about 3 times during it where I thought I had finally completed it. I have 46 hours on my save time and still haven't cleared it! It's not what you'd expect from this style of game. Still excellent though.
