I've noticed recently that as I get older, (I'm 17 now) my gaming collection is growing extensivly, mostly because im old enough to play all different kinds of games and because having a job really does help in the purchasing of games. after buying games for my entire life becuase i, and im not joking, have been playing games since i was around 4, like i said ive accumulated a good sized collection ranging fromthe origional NES, to the ps1-3, both xboxs, to the origional gameboy and the adanced, to the n64, i ave all of these old games that i never play anymore, yet i stop and think: how many ranndom urges have i had lately that have encompassed me playing a game that i havent touched in ages. for the last while ive decided that im never gonna sell any of my games since i have like this werid emotional attatchment to them that i know if i sold them id feel like im losing a part of my childhood.

Yeah, I sorta know how you feel. There's games that I sold just to regret it later.

I'd keep them. Like you do, every once in a while you just get a want to play those games. And they ARE a part of your childhood. Just do whatever you think you should do.

It really depends on the game. A store owner local game store in my town that specializes in selling old games (even SNES ones) told me to keep old classic games because they could possibly become collector's items later on.

Don't sell your games. You'll regret it later. I sold all of my nes, snes, ps1, and n64 games, and oh god how I wish I could get them back.

I think I'll probably sell much of my old stuff, but only if I can get the games I actually like(d) on the Wii's Virtual Console and have some money left over.

Several years ago, when the GC's GB Player attachment came out, I traded in my N64 and maybe 7 games (all of them I had), in addition to paying out some money, for the GB Player. It wasn't worth it--I should have just gotten or been content with a GBA--but I did get the Zeldas on GC discs later on. I can get Star Fox and Mario on the VC, but the original Rogue Squadron is something I'll never be able to play without an N64, it seems. Don't care about Gex anymore, so no loss there.

I also sold my GBA and 5 games (all three Zeldas and two Pokemons) for a measly $90-$100 seveal years ago, which was also a mistake, as I now have to use the GC's GB Player to play pre-GBA games (I eventually got the Zeldas again and have also recently acquired Metroid II).

I had been wanting to sell my Xbox and games, but I'd only end up paying more than I got from it to acquire the games on PC. In addition, I have Ninja Gaiden, which is exclusive to the console.

I love looking at my Xbox collection. My father and I re-constructed a bookshelf in my room to hold my game cases. So now I can looke over and see 188 cases sitting there loooking so beautiful.
