Burnout the best since I never really played much from the other two franchises.
As an aside would it really kill you to type a "y" and an "o" to go with "u"? :PI would have to say of the racers you mentioned I prefer Burnout the most. All good racing games in their own regards but I always liked the super over the top arcade feel of Burnout and how insane and fun it was to play. That being said I hope the franchise goes back to its roots and makes its next game like Burnout Revenge. I never cared much for the Burnout Paradise game. I don't like the open world tracks because with a racing game so fast and hectic its nice to have a better idea of where you are going. I lost so many races just by taking the wrong routes, it was fustrating. Plus, I love how you could ram ongoing traffic in Revenge to gain boost.Best Burnout: Revenge. Best NFS: Most Wanted. Best Midnight Club: Los Angeles.
Best series...I would have to go with Midnight Club since it's the only one that is getting better and better with each installment. Need for Speed and I go a long way back and it will always have a special place in my heart (Most Wanted is my favorite racing game ever), but the series as a whole is extremely inconsistent. As for Burnout, it's been nothing but downhill since the fantastic Burnout 3: Takedown.
Just wondering if any of you remember Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2. That game was amazing back in the day and certainly one of the PS2s finest racing games. It was all about hot cars, great tracks, and cops chasing you every chance they get! Too bad they keep changing the series so much that it is now NFS in name only.
I'd say Burnout. Though the series has been changing over the years I think it has always kept it's core value of being a fun racer. Need for Speed started going downhill after Most Wanted, which was badass in my opinion. Carbon was fun too I guess but it was just a shorter Most Wanted at night. Burnout, while I enjoy Paradise, I don't think it has been that great since 3, but still infinitely more enjoyable than any of the newer NFS games.
Haven't played any Midnight Club so I can't comment there but I might pick one up cheap pretty soon.
