Which one is "better", the Dreamcast version or Gamecube?

Please list why.

All versions of the game have had their online servers shutdown, so it really comes down to preference. GC version has a couple of easter eggs that connect it to other Sonic Team games such as Sonic Adventure 2: Battle but reagarding the main game they are all really the same.

They're not the same, the GC has Episode 2, whereas the Dreamcast left at ver.2. The GC also also has an extra character cla$$ and it allows offline multiplier where you could even swap items between your own characters (something that was only doable online on the DC).

So the GC is the best version because it has all the DC content plus more. But yes, now that they're both offline they aren't nowhere as fun.

DC had horrible drop rate except for red handgun and chainsawd which are easy to find. On GC everything have been fixed and drop rate on rare items are more reasonable. Plus you can play in Episode II offline unlike on DC.

Go for the GC version and there's still a way to play PSO online on both DC and GC and Blue burst as well.

Gamecube all the way, although the PC version gaming requirements are quite low even a budget PC can run it.

I have the DC version 2 myself.

is it still possible to play online then? if so... how?:D

because PSO was really my first ever online game experience. and it's probablyone of thereasons i like World of Warcraft so much. i really would like to take another trip to Ragol and kill those yellow things... lol

i rememebr playing PSO like mad. start at 6 in the evening and not get off till 6 in the morning. and it was a penny a minute to play! 60p an hour, £7.20 over 12. that's extortionate! lol but i had a blast! how sega went bust i'll never know...

Taking in consideration that you will (most likely) be able to run the game, I would go with the PC version (Blue Burst). It has all the same content +EP. 4, and is still available online - for free. If your computer is capable of running un-graphically challenging games, I would download Blue Burst.

Actually I've looked around online and found that there are private servers that you can use to play online, and some people have said that they are almost if not as good as the old official server.

I doubt it. Even the official servers got pretty boring towards the end when only a bunch of people were playing.

I've been playing on Schtack Server for a year now and its better than SEGA server plus its well protected, people can't FSOD each others like on the official SEGA server. We have many many more stuff that the official server didn't really had, people can just google it its the first result lol.

Both were great, but I'd go with the GC version, because it has offline multiplayer(which, I might add, is a BLAST), and I'm pretty sure it has more character choices(1 per class, is it...?).
