I want to say it was around 1977 or 78.

I swear to God, when we first turned the system on a holy angelic light filled our entire living room. I was mesmerized.

That is awesome! my first gaming experience was on an Atari 2600, played Yars revenge till I had hand cramps and my eyes were to the point of bleeding. I do not miss the old days, but looking back I do not regret a minute of it.

My first was the Odyssey, but I played one of those somewhere around 1976 or 1977. I know I was in the first grade at the time.

I believe that it's still sitting in my parents' attic.

This was my only console as well... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnavox_Odyssey%C2%B2 IMO, was much better than the Atari systems as well.

pretty nice and think you don't have to buy any accessories they are all included in one box. How much was that thing back then I can imagine a pretty penny. I have a telstar but it's just the pong. this would be cool never seen it before. I also have the Gemini someone mentioned it's just a way of playing other machines' games.

Why, yes. It can take you back to a time where people didn't need an arbitrary numerical value attached to a game in order to derive enjoyment from it.
