Pieces of music that just seem to strike a resounding chord with you?

I mean, this goes well above just liking a video game's soundtrack. I like a lot of games and their soundtrack which sounds great.

But with Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth... I've already stated my feelings over this game before, but regardless of my feelings towards it, this soundtrack at the very beginning resonates so well with me:

I don't know what it is exactly. It's like... I wouldn't describe it as nostalgic, rather the chorus is almost reminiscent of something, as though I've heard it once before in a dream. Just one of those things.

Anyway try to choose one and only one piece of soundtrack that you have such an attachment to, almost reverence for.

Yeah that's what I was going for or thinking of as well.

Just picked up skyrim- the theme that plays in Whiterun is really touching. Its almost like a Mass setting. I have had a big hatred towards modern video game scores- its all lush orchestral crap that has no attention to melody. Deadly Premonition and Divinity 2: Ego Draconis have had the best sound tracks in recent memory... all these big titles have crap scores.

I get this sort of intense nostalgic feeling when I hear zelda type music. I don't know why. Theres something about it that just feels special.

I can identify with that. Hell Ocarina of Time doesn't even have the main Zelda theme, yet there's something about the title screen that's... rather familiar and nostalgic in itself.

"Bash" you? Dearly Beloved is one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever, you should feel no shame in mentioning it. Despite my personal feelings on Kingdom Hearts, the one thing I have to say that I love about the series is the title screen for Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2. The way that Sora is just standing there, feet in the ocean, looking to the distance, with the music accompanying it... While KH 1 is the best game of the series, I like KH 2's title screen more. When you see it you think you're about to embark on an emotional and poignant journey that will prove to be quite memorable. Instead though Square Enix gave us a completely different experience.

In fact the more I think about it the more surprised I am that this wasn't mentioned more in this topic. I love the sound of the ocean waves in KH 2 especially...

Mass Effect 2's "Suicide Mission" and Red Dead Redemption's "Deadman's Gun" are my favorites.
