Either your laser is
being obstructed by dirt and dust, or the laser's voltage is not properly
adjusted.
You know, you can buy a slim-model PS2 for only $130 and replace the old PS2.Rej72380
$130 isn't cheap for an outdated game system.
I have a ps2 from back when they were first launched so needless to say its pretty old. It works fine mostly but it refuses to play blue backed discs. Any discs that has a blue back to em it just says disc read error. Is there anything i can do to make it work? I don't really wanna get a new one if other ps2 games work fine. neko-splash
Same thing happend to me I removed the top and cleaned out the laser. Worked like new.
