What do you think is better for the playstation 2? A wireless controller, you can lay in your bed and not have to do a thing but play! Or a wired controller when you always get so addicted you could pull the wire. I have done that sometimes.Used to have a wired one, but instead I bought a wireless to check it out. I have a wireless controller, it may take batteries but it's worth it

I always find wireless controllers more hassle than there worth as the one I bought a while back kept on cutting out on me and it wasn't due to the batteries. My trust wired controller however has lasted me 7 years without fail even if the controller is a bit messed up now, that's my fault though, not the controllers.

Wirless controllers are good for having the ability to play anywhere you choose (within range), but they can sometimes lose signal internally and have to be replaced. Now a wired controller will be reliable for a long time (as long as you dont spike it too much), but you are giving up some of your freedoms on where you choose to sit. :P

My ps2 is close enough to my bed that I can use wired. Regardless, I'd use wired in my room because the wireless isn't worth it in a small room like this lol.

+1 to the logitech wireless controllers for PS2.

The original Logitech wireless is huge and takes 4 AA batteries but I never once had a lost signal. Logitech later redesigned it to be much much smaller, about the same overall size as the dualshock2. The newer model takes only 2 AA batteries and has worked flawlessly as well.

I prefer wired controllers, since I hate always having change batteries in wireless controllers.

You can't lose a wired controller if it's plugged in so I'll go with that one.

I don't have a problem with wired controllers. They have enough length to reach as far as I need them to, and it doesn't clutter up my room too much.

I prefer the wired controllers. I don't want to have to hassle with the batteries all the time, plus I never sit far enough away from my console to warrent using wireless controllers anyway.

I hear a lot of mention about the battery thing. I'll tell you from experience it's just not that big of an issue. I have a battery charger in the drawer next to my couch so there's always a pair charged and ready to go.

It's not really about one being "better" than the other so much as it's about which is better "for your situation". There isn't any single right answer.

My TV is about a half a mile away from me across the living room- it would take two extensions per controller. Add to that the fact that my cat loves to chew cables and the wireless option is the only way to go for me. If your room is the size of a postage stamp and you don't need the extra reach then you probably don't need a wireless controller and that's fine too.

Wired. I have never had any real trouble with limitations, since you simply sit infront of your television, when playing the game.

Me and my stupid temper.

I always used a wired controller for my PS2. I never really felt the need to buy a wireless one for it.
