Okay, so I just visited my random video game store and they have a lot of gams, but I also noticed they have a LOT OF Jrpgs. Now, out of the jrpgs they have I will list the ones I don't own, and maybe you guys can suggest a top 5 since i can only buy 5 at the moment with some information on the game. it would also help if there are games they have that i should stay away from if there are any. if you suggest more than 5 games or less you can do that to. Oh and if there is a game you would suggest not on the list the other store has all the rest I believe. but from this list which 5 would you think would be good to try? (or your favorites) with a description of the game (Gameplay, elements, etc.) because about over half this list interests me, and had interested me before when they came out. Xenogears Chrono Cross Final Fantasy IX Legend of Mana Chrono Trigger (IF you haven't played the SNES one) Those are the ones I'd reccomend the most, but if I found that selection of games the first one I'd buy is actually Koudelka, because I've been looking for it for quite a while.

Chrono Cross : The sequel to Chrono Trigger. The story is about parallel dimensions. It has over 40+ playable characters and over 13 endings. Beautiful graphics, beautiful music by Yasunori Mitsuda and a fantastic story. Final Fantasy IX : A steam punk story that oozes with charm and majesty. The gameplay is fast paced and has a unique system for acquiring magic and skills. The game is beautiful in the audio-visual department. Suikoden 1 and Suikoden 2 : The fact that you can get these games cheap is a wonder. These are one of the most rarest and most expensive games out there. Buy it ASAP. Xenogears : If you love Neon Genesis Evangelion, then meet the game that will make you hate it to bits. Why? Because it completely destroys NGE. The story is FANTASTIC. The main attraction about the game is mechs or Gears. The story ranges from a variety of themes from philosophy to transhumanism. Art styIe is easy on the eyes and the music is by Yasunori Mitsuda.
Added VP, parasite Eve 1 and 2, Grandia, Vagrant Story from both stores. also adding threads of fate which was in the VHs section for some reason and not one person who worked there didn't see the obvious set of CD cases in the VHS section. $6.50 The highest priced game is Final Fantasy IX for $27 dollar, and the lowest priced game do far is Vandal Hearts for $3 most other games are between $5-$ with Suikoden 1 2, Perasite Eve 1 and 2, Grandia, Chocbo's Dungeon 2, Vagrant Story, and Xenogears being the only one over $8 and below $27. Respectively, the prices for the above games are $12, $9, $13, $13, $15, $13, $16, $11.50. However, I can get $5 dollars off each game because am a regular customer (I have spend over $200 here for used goods, they sign you up for discounts. pretty business wise for a random store, although for bigger priced items the discount is not much.) So that would make most games $1.50-4.00 or around that and the above games are all under $10 dollars EXCEPT Vagarant Story, Grandia, and Final Fantasy Ix, however those 3 games would be under $20.
Well by the one you added there and judging by the prices. I'd say go for: Parasite Eve & Parasite Eve 2 Threads of Fate (great game) and the rest of my list continue the same. If I'd remove any to put in those remove Legend of Mana and Final Fantasy IX. And I've never played Secret of Mana for the SNES, but I'm pretty sure the gameplay for Legend of Mana is similar, though with much better visuals and more polished controls.

How would you describe and rate threads of Fate? i mean i already admitted in another thread having Female characters on the cover (especially anime like) usually attracts me in the other direction but the game might be good. there are 3 copies here. Also, PE, is it true it has a time limit? and that the gameplay is timed as well or is that not true? Not that i hate time limits, just wondering from what I have heard, and the above reason i keep mentioning.
I don't recall having any time restraints in PE, not sure about PE2 though. Threads of Fate is a solid 8, great graphics, it's an action RPG with good controls. And you actually pick between using a girl or a guy, each has their own separate story, and each plays completely different, it's definetly a good buy, you should go with it. It's charming.

Found Star ocean and some kind of Azure Dreams in the CD section. So at this point I am pretty sure that i listed all the games I don;t have that are available to me right now on the list. Man, I had no idea my jrpgs collection on the PSX was this bad. Got guy to put UNWRAPPED copies of Suikoden 1 and 2 for a cheap price, i told them they were supposed to be together and flashed Gran Tourismo at him as a fake example and he believe me when i showed him. manuals and all.

Oh, I didn't notice Dragon Warrior in the list. I can't reccomend it over the ones I already reccomended though, but I do reccomend it if your a DQ/DW fan, since I've only heard good things about it.
Beyond the Beyond suggested by some Pm's, I saw this at the other store, very mixed opinion on it, I am getting a immersive rpgs and generic and poor from others, not sure if anybody actually posting in the forums knows anything about it, however... Edit: someone stole the disc from the XenoGears case so yeah, damnit.
