Please recommend a game for me. :)

I'll keep this short, but I'd like a game with the following aspects.

• No movie-based games. I've never seen the movie, and whenever I play a game based off of a movie, I'm always lost and don't know anything about it. That also means television shows.
• No games that are like the twelfth in the series or something. I can never play any games like Assassin's Creed 2, Metal Gear Solid, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, or any of those without playing the first in the series. I'd like a game that has an entirely new experience in the modern era.
• No games that consist mainly of menus. Most sports games I've played revolve around what seems like hundreds of menus even before playing the game. Even if it's not a sports game, but if the game has a ton of menus before the game even begins, I'm not even sure if I'm playing the game or not. I'd like a game where you essentially hit start, and the game begins.
• No games that are extremely convoluted. Knowing me, I love simplistic nature of video games, and I have WAY too much to potentially do, I'm turned off by it.
• Finally, no sports games, unless it isn't directly DRIVEN by the sport. That is, nothing like Madden '15 or something like that. lol

I don't mean to be so picky, but I'm looking for a game that comes really close to what I'd like to experience in a game. However, based on my research, it's fruitless at the moment. Thought I'd ask directly.

Oh, and no Sonic games either. Not only have I basically played them all, I am NOT a Sonic fan. ;)

You didn't say what genre you prefer though, do you like FPS the most? Platformers? RPG? Open world? Story driven games? Mindless online games?

My favorite games would revolve around the puzzle-solving platform games. You know, something like Ocarina of Time or something (which I've already beaten).

Also, I forgot to mention the fighting. I don't like games where you're stuck in a room and you have to defeat EVERYONE in order to progress. Nope. I personally believe that enemies are supposed to HINDER progress as opposed to be a PART of it. (I am looking at you DEAD in the eyes, Sonic Unleashed's Werehog).

So... yeah. lol
