i have owned many pokemon games

pokemon- red, blue, yellow, stadium, stadium 2,pinball,silver,gold,emerald,ruby, and i finished every one of them!

and i just started thinking about it yesterday and my question to you is, was there any major difference between red and blue version?

i mean as far as i can remember they were exactly the same except for some color changes< blue was blue, red was red?

was this just some big marketing scheme to get fans like myself at this time to buy it ?

??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Each version had a few pokemon exclusive to it, so you would have to trade with players of the other version to get them all, basically it was to encourage the trading aspect of the game, or I suppose a few hardcore fans might have got both...wasnt really worth it...(Red was best!:P)

The big difference between the games that came out at the same time (Red/Blue, Gold/Silver, Ruby/Sapphire, Fire Red/ Leaf Gree, Diamond/Pearl) was in which pokemon you could catch.

For example, in Red you could catch Ekans, Oddish, Mankey, Growlithe, Scyther and Electabuzz as well as their evolved forms.

Blue had Sandshrew, Vulpix, Meowth, Bellsprout, Magmar, and Pinsar and their evolved forms.

You had all of those games and never realized that there was differences in what you could catch? Or that in Gold Ho-Oh was a level 70 and Lugia was level 50 and vice versa for Silver? Or is that the other way around? Regardless, the differences should be pretty noticeable.

And dude, ditch the ton of question marks, there is no need for it and it is rather disruptive.

Digimon World: Dawn/Dusk > any pokemon. I love pokemon and own one of each generation and mystery dungeon but I hate the level and stat caps and not being able to teach any move to any pokemon. Yes I want my Blastoise to use flamethrower and my abra to use earthquake. It would be awesome and unique if you didnt know what attacks a pokmeon was going to unload on you.

Digimon World let you raise some bad @#% digimon who have stats into the thousands and can evolve/devolve however you want. DW is a far superior game to Pokemon but I still love pokemon to.

My Favorite pokemon are: Gengar, Scyther, Gligar, Claydoll, Croagunk, and a bunch of others I cant remember lol.

I've beaten Pearl but I havent maxed out any of the pokemon. I gave up on trying to find a god damn chancey with a lucky egg. I encourage anyone who loves Pokemon though to check out Digimon World: Dawn/Dusk as they are wicked games. The first Digimon World game on the DS has a glitch dont bother with it.

I really hate the stupid beauty pagents they put into pokemon games recently. Pokemon are killing machines not stupid lame accessories for girls. I want minigames that let you use your pokemon and are based off stats, like sprinting, attacking, defending.

lol

Well, I can see your reasoning. But I actually like the pokemon contests. I had a Ninetales who went on a role in the beauty and smart contests. I bred the living hell out of him soon afterward. :D

I went through that phase in pokemon emerald where I tried to get a shiny poochyena. I bred *hundreds* of poochyenas and never got a shiny lol.

Red and Blue had different version exclusive Pokemon. I think they may have had different battle pictures for each Pokemon, but I'm not sure.

Are you off your medication??? I love parts of pokemon cartoons but come on!!! Every episode has two huge chunks of filler. Team rocket introduction and team rocket exits. Take those out and each episode is only 5 minutes long. Digimon had some filler too. Everytime their digimon evolved for battle but seriously you would rather listen to some annoying actors than watch digimon transform?? Bullcrap. Guess it depends on the season. The latest Digimon cartoon really really sucks. Data Squad. *barf*. The video game Data Squad for the ps2 is also one of the worst pieces of crap ever.

Lol, I agree I hate the coordinator tournies and such. Oh and why don't you just raise your Hapney from it's egg into chancey? Sorry my girlfriend is obsessing over Hapney so it's stuck burned into my retinas.
